Did you know that many of the organizers of the now defunct Four Winds Faire have created a new faire in nearby Kilgore, Texas?  This young event is The Avalon Faire.  I had the pleasure of visiting it two weeks ago & enjoyed it tremendously.  I wish it were closer to my home.  If you get the chance next April, go visit Avalon.  It is not commercialized.  You can get the family-feel of this medium-sized faire soon after entering the gate.  I am sure you will want to return, just as I do.

You can find details at www.avalonfaire.com

You can find my pictures of this wonderful land where King Arthur was buried at http://www.meistersrealm.com/Photos/Pages/Avalon_Faire.html
Providing faire information for over 10 years (updated monthly).  Visit www.meistersrealm.com to find all the Renaissance & Celtic-type Festivals in North America.  There's much more to see and do in 'The Realm' as well.

Looks like it has potential. It would be too far a trip for me but I hope it grows and is well supported. Enjoyed the photos too.
We are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are---
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.
