This year, I'm going to try new approaches when making videos of some of the Renfaires that I visit.  I learned long ago to pan my camera around  S - L - O - W - L - Y  so anyone watching the playback of it won't get motion sickness.  I know it bothers many people to watch videos with the camera spinning around quickly or when someone is carrying a camera and the video is bouncing around much of the time.  That includes me.  I cannot watch about 75% of the faire videos on YouTube because they make me nauseous.  (I can't play first-person shooter video games either.)

My wife learned moving-making in school and was giving me tips today at lunch.  I'm going to also try new camera angles, include short interviews in my videos and different types of music.  I'll post my videos on my website and hope to have the first one done before the end of March but it will be a busy month.  There are lots of good faire videos on YT so I need to "up my game".

I for one look forward to your videos . You are certainly a good archer so I'm sure your video will be great. can't hardly wait ....
We are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are---
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.

Even though Queensferry is a growing Renfest, they didn't have any combat groups so the only videos I took were of musicians.  I'll have to start my new video approach at the Oklahoma Renfest in several weeks.

In the meantime, here are the photos I took last weekend in Vinita:  https://www.facebook.com/meisters.realm.3/posts/785807319028000?notif_id=1616857871656108&notif_t=feedback_reaction_generic&ref=notif

So many people were wearing masks at Muskogee this year that I didn't want any reminders of this bad time in history.  Instead of making an all-encompassing video, I made a few of the musical duo Ezndil as well as starting a new adventure, interviewing patrons.  My first interview was a long one full of great conversation so it is in more than one part.  You can find it at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=umc3G9htAM0

I'll have at least one more part published soon.  My musical videos from Castleton this year (including a tribute to Jesse Linder) and many others can be found at https://www.meistersrealm.com/videos

I'll make more patron interview videos this fall.  I am sure they will turn out as well as the one with Lady Teresa.

Here is the second and final part of my interview with Lady Teresa.  I am sure you will hear many familiar things in our discussion of this wonderful break from the Rat Race that is the Renfaire world.

Mayhaps there are several other types of food in different parts of the country at faires that we don't get to experience in Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas.  If so, please let me know so I can suggest them at some of the food booths this fall.

I'm learning new tricks on video creation almost every time I make one now.  (I'm glad that my wife and YouTube are willing to share.)  Here's an interview I conducted with my stone carving friend, Gary Bennett.
