Needing Apprentices?
« on: November 14, 2021, 01:17:00 AM »
While I was interviewing a stone carver today, he relayed to me that he is looking for an apprentice.  He's the only stone carver I know around Oklahoma.  If he retires in a few years, I don't know who would replace his live craft at nearby Renfaires.

Are there lots of vendors across the country looking for apprentices as well?  If so, are you finding them?  Where?

This may be a weird question but is there something akin to a "temporary agency" or "personnel agency" or website to find qualified craftspeople to apprentice and hire?

Here is a video of my interview with stone carver Gary Bennett.  I hope you enjoy it.
