Has anyone camped at either the Shakopee RV park or the KOA in Jordan?  If so, what did you like/dislike, would you go back?

We've arranged for my Mom to hang out with the kids for the last weekend and we're planning on finding someplace in the area to stay.  If there are any other campgrounds in the area, that info would be appreciated as well.

Thank you!

I stay at Shakopee RV Park and like it. I just go there to crash really but its on the MN riverso u can fish and theres an indoor pool. Also ill be camping there the next 2 weekends if you like comraderie.

Never been to KOA altho there is another one that escapes my mind and i dont have time to look it up now but in the area and its much more manicured however the pool is outdoors if ur kids are into that.

I've stayed at the KOA in Jordan and it's nice.  They do have an indoor swimming pool.  They say that the entire park is no smoking - but it doesn't stop some people.  They also have little cabins that you can rent if you don't have tenting equipment...not sure of the cost, though.

Thanks for the info.  Another silly question, both locations allow campfires, right?

KOA does, not sure on the RV park though.  Never been there.

Looks like everything came together, so we'll be camping at the Shakopee RV park this Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights.  If you're in the area stop by and say "hi".

It was nice meeting you, as well. We had a fun time chatting with the two of you as well.  We plan on camping more next season (far more fun than driving home!).
