Nope. I know a few Bloodwake peeps were there who are not RF members (but should be!)
Masquerading as a normal person day after day is exhausting.

Ahoy, I'm new here and this is my first post. I've been working hard on my pirate garb for the last year and a half now. I have a few questions. Is there a forum for Minnesota Renaissance pirates that I don't know about? Is there a society of pirates that go to the Minnesota Renaissance that I can join?

As for the forum thing. I wouldn't say that there is a forum just for MN pirates, But we do have a whole section here devoted to pirates. Click on the link below to go to it. It's called Port of Call

http://www.renaissancefestival.com/forums/index.php?board=62.0

I know there are other forums out there too for pirates.

As for a society. I wouldn't say that there is a society per say, but there are a few "crews" here in MN you can find at the faire. Not really sure how you'd go about joining one of them. There are others here who can better answer that question.

A lot of us do pirate garb at the faire. The best way to get to know folks is to just introduce yourself.

Our MN forum group at faire is a very open and inviting group. Just look for the R/F pins on peoples garb and you will know who we are. Our group is not pirate exclusive (though there are more then a few of us who do pirate garb). Any are welcome in our group.

Welcome Gibbet Jones, I know also of a group called the International Fellowship of Royal Privateers:

http://www.ifrp.org/

I know that Dead Bishop is the pirate lord of the Blatherscythe I think it's called which is a MN based ship. But outside of that I'm not sure. Just ask DB and he'll be happy to help I'm sure.

There's also the Pyracy Pub, which is strictly dedicated to all things piratical.

In addition to the Blatherscythe there are members of the Bloodwake and Portobello Rose out there too, as well as one other crew I believe, but I can't recall the name of that ship off hand. Some of them made the group photo too.

Then, of course, there are the Privateers out there also. Though, I didn't see them nearly as much this year as I did last.
