Had this custom made for my hubby about a year ago.  He only wears it the last few weekends of fest cause it can get incredibly hot inside, but I think it's one of the coolest things I've gotten for him yet.  This is why I call him my "Bear".  It was crafted by http://www.wolfgaardarmoury.com/

What a handsome man!

That is a really cool helm m'lady.  You had it made, did you?  Was he in on the design?  If you had that made for him without him telling you what he wanted, and you came up with something as cool as that yourself, I'm even more impressed with the outcome.

I am a huge proponent of leather armor myself, obviously.  What, praytell, does he wear the helm with?  Does he have a set of leather body armor, or does it work with some particular clothing pieces?

Very nicely done.  I am trying to think of a way to justify the expense ofhaving a leather helm made for myself.  I couldn't imagine my wife making the move to have me one made.  He is a lucky man.
Always on the lookout for my next noble cause.

And because a flail don't need reloading, that's why.

It was a total surprise for him.  Several years ago we bumped into a guy wearing a wolf styled him at MDRF and he gave us the card.  I planned on making him a helm for two years, saving little pockets of money here and there till I had enough, and made sure they could craft a grizzly bear color with black nose'd helm.  I got his head measurements from some of his well-worn baseball hats.  He doesn't own any other leather armor, infact he is a kilt wearin kinda guy.  It looks pretty impressive when he sets his kilt up as a great kilt with half of the fabric slung over his shoulder since his colors are very dark...again something he only does when the faire weather gets chilly.

I'm slowly turning him into an armored bear.

It is very clever how the maker designed and put this helm together.  Very well done.

I have been considering an attempt at making a helm myself but I'm not really sure how to do it.
Sir Robert, if I am ever able to come up with a decent helm design I will let you know and perhaps we could get you outfitted.

Very cool helm, one of my favorite animals is the bear among others. It's highly detailed also right down to the rounded ears on top. A perfect ambush disguise.
