I'll have to be sayin' that AbleArcher's photos are most extraordinary!  The quality is unsurpassed.  I thoroughly enjoy seeing them and showing all my friends.

I'm hoping that there are more out there.  If anyone knows of others who are taking photos at 'our' Faire, please post links (or maybe even some of your own pictures) here.

I too, would be most interested in seeing the faire through someone elses lens as well.  I see many folks out there with quality gear...so now I want to see what I've been missing! LOL.

Perhaps next year i can pull out my digital and snap a few for your enjoyment.  It's nothing to write home about, but it takes very good photo's.

I have pics of my ren-faire adventure here. Some okay ones of the joust, Shantyman & Bonny Lass, and Tortuga Twins. Most of it, though, is me and my friends being major dorks.

While AbleArcher has indeed set a high bar, please don't be shy about sharing -any- pictures you folks have.
Being on-cast, it's particularly nice to be able to see the faire from -your- eyes.

I know that I'm so busy paying attention to you folks that I end up missing a lot of other things that are going on around me, and Fairhaven is so big that I can't be everywhere at once (no matter how may personalities I have) .

Plus, on a purely personal level, if anyone does post a picture of me, it makes my mother -so- happy.
(yes, she really is pround of me doing this. Even if she is always warning me 'not to quit my day job'! )

Clearly some years are more, erm, photo-heavy than others. Not quite sure why, but we'll see. My digital's batteries are acting up, I'm not sure how many we'll have from this go round, but I'm hoping on some (I'd really *love* one of my S.O. and I in garb in the same photo, I've not had one of those since 2005).

yay! I had stumbled across them before, but didn't book mark them, so thank you.
I was a playtron last year, and missed the previous years due to illness/life crap, so it's -really- cool for me to see the folks I'm with now as they were then... (sorry about the twisted grammer... antihistamines don't make for clear thinking)

Maybe it's contageous Still, I'm -so- glad he captured folks like you, who really help make things, rather than just the standard "I'm a reporter and I'll take a few standard pics then grab a beer"

Oh MAN!  AbleArchers website section on the RenFest has been updated to include the October 19th pictures.  These are awesome!  I swear that RoyalFaires should hire him as a PR man.  I get some pictures, some even turn out alright...but AbleArcher's photos are superb.  Way to go, AbleArcher.  Hip Hip Hazzah!

I thought I read somewhere that he does have some sort of a deal with the management where they get to use his photos and he gets in free or something.  His stuff really is good.  I'd love to get some pointers from him on how to take better pictures.

great shot in the Charlotte Observer Raibeart......you and I passed one another several times but I didn't recognize you from your other avatar....the same could be said of me (I also think the mask puts people off  )  Who does your face art?  Very cool.

heh heh Thank you...I really like the facial art as well.  (Letting out my inner Chakotay    Trekkie reference there)  I actually get it done at the Faire at the Face/Body painting booth directly between the Tribal Drums and the Dragon and Unicorn leather mug shop.  I don't know the lady's name, but I've had the same artist do it each week.  I think that she's as 'into it' as I am.
