I admit it... I'm scared

Still thinking of you, m'luv & am sending good thoughts - just think how far you've come. Hoping your new year treats you better - Phins UP!

Thanks so much, both of you! It was kind of a difficult transition for me, but I think I'm coming to terms with all the coming possibilities, and I'll survive whatever happens. Nothing has destroyed me yet, and hopefully this coming week won't have that power, either... We'll see, I guess...

Who are you kidding? You're a Fire Goddess! Nothing can destroy you! Just don't take any baths in the ocean hun. Tee hee

I'm glad to see you've come through the Holidays pretty much intact! Sorry I've been away for so long! The Holidays here were hectic! Between getting the house in order, keeping up with the kid, having two kittens in the house, and constantly running back and forth between Jersey and Philly to keep my guy where he needed to be... UGH! I don't know about you, but I'm sure happy school started today!!!

*HUGS* *HUGS* *HUGS* *HUGS* *HUGS* *HUGS*!!!! I figure it's about time for a refill!  ;)

Ahhh... thanks, I needed that...

So far everything seems ok, but we'll see, I guess. I'm just full of ideas right now, though, so at least my creativity has been sparked by the recent years transition, and I'm ready to start making plans for the future again... or at least daydreaming about them...! (I'm researching major purchases...)

It was really nice to be able to send someone off to school this morning, I must admit...  LOL  Now if I could just talk to a certain other someone things would be almost perfect!

Chemo wasn't quite so bad this weekend, although I did spend a lot of time sleeping again. I stay tired these days, but I can feel that it's a different tired than it used to be, and that my energy will start coming back as soon as I'm finished with the treatments. I don't feel the same kind of fatigue I did before, and that tells me it's working... so that's a very positive sign!

I'll have to give this whole Fire Goddess thing some thought, if it means I can't swim in the ocean! There's got to be a way around that... maybe something to do with volcanoes... hmmmm...

Flame on! Flame off! My dear Goddess, thou hast the power to do what ever thy wishes, eh?

All Blessings be upon thee.

I used to do some energy sending to another friend of mine when she was ill and always felt tired. I'll see what I can do for you. I've got tons of energy today for some reason. Perhaps the break I'm getting from chasing a kid and two kittens {who are seriously confused about where their playmate is btw...} around the house is paying off. It worked rather well for my other friend some times. Only she was up half a night with an energy burst and reorganized her filing system one night... Ooops. Lol

And of course you can figure out something so you can go swimming! We'll put a Fae spell on ya to contain the flames for a while! Can't not go swimming if that's one of your passions!

I could stand a little reorganization!  LOL

And I definitely love to swim, so that's a must! There's got to be something about Fire Goddesses swimming in the ocean, maybe Pele... hmmmm... not sure I'm ready to have a volcano emerge in the wilderness surrounding our Circle, though...  ::)  (though it could offer some interesting, and entertaining possibilities for future posts...)  LOL

Tammy

Rani,
I just found this thread, and I wanted you to know that you will be in my thoughts and prayers to the Lord and Lady for your health and general well-being. My sister in law had to do a set of treatments similar to what you've described, and only a STRONG woman such as you could deal with that.

May the blessings of the Goddess Hygea (Goddess of Health) be upon thy brow.

Thank you so much, Tammy! I'm sorry I didn't see this earlier, and I'm not sure why it didn't tell me there was a post here, but I appreciate you writing, and the compliment.

Well, guess I can give an update, since it's been a while! It's starting to get a bit easier, although the weekends are still a bit... bleh, unless I can distract myself somehow! Oh, and my hair is starting to decide it wants to migrate... to someone else's head, I think! It's not noticeable, but every time I run my fingers through my hair more and more strands are caught on my hand... As soon as it gets noticeable I'm planning on just shaving it all, and finding some funky scarves or something... unless I turn out to be one of those women who are incredibly hot with no hair...!!!  LOL  Oh well, it will immediately start growing again when I'm done with the chemo, so I'm not even going to worry about it, except to be slightly ticked off about it taking the last 10 years to get it to this length, (down to the small of my back), and I'm not looking forward to it taking that long again!

At least I passed the half-way mark!!! 11 left, then I'm DONE!!!

Rani:

Don't worry too much about your hair. When it ultimately decides to fall, you will know. At least that is how it was with Ron. Of course he took it in good humor, illustrating how just like in the cartoons you could just pull your hair out. He did this in such a way that he had us laughing so very hard. It actually happenened while we were at the Carolina faire, so when we got home, he had me give him a mohawk which he wore a couple of days and the we shaved it all. I guess what actually gave him a bit of a worry was actually his eyebrows and eyelashes. His beard kept trying to come back but it would remain as stuble. Two weeks after he was done with that particula chemo, hair started to make a comeback and it actually was thicker.

Well, hey, I wouldn't mind having thicker hair afterward!!!  LOL  Many years ago a close family friend had a long, hard fought battle involving chemo, and her hair not only came back thicker, but it also became really curly!!! As someone who has had board straight hair my whole life, I think I might like a few curls...

Lady Glorianna, Ron sounds like an extraordinary individual, and one I would have treasured as a friend! My heart aches for your loss, even as I admire your strength in sharing your stories of him with others who need encouragement in their trials. Thank you so much for lightening my mood this morning, and for the mental image of myself wearing a mohawk!!!  It's something to consider, though I haven't had a hawk since my early 20's...  LOL  Have a great day, and I pray that your memories will start to bring you far more pleasure than pain this very moment...

My favorite Aunt would find the most outlandish wigs she could and wear them everywhere! I think she just liked freaking people out. Like, if they were going to stare at her, why not give them a good reason. Tee hee That woman had such spirit! The stories of things she'd done never fail to amaze me.

So, if you go the way of the mohawk, does that mean we can dye it multi colors and spike it?  :P Long live Punk!

LOL  I think I'll probably wait until it starts growing back in again, then bleach the very tiniest tips and dye them flame orange and scarlet... that way I'll look like my head is on fire all during Faire season!!!  (snerk)

May I suggest Hot Topic for the dye! They have this dye that will work on any hair color and man is it bright! Lol
