Hi Zemirah.  Come on up to visit the Pittsburgh RenFaire and I'll be more than happy to henna you  ;D

Hope your treatments went well this weekend.

Blessings,

Thank you so much, Anne! I wish I could get that far north... I hear you guys really rock the lanes up there!!! And the offer of henna would be most welcome, although for some odd reason I still have far more hair than I logically should, and only 8 more treatments to go... who knew? Of course, that doesn't mean I'll have any left by the end... LOL  It's starting to get a bit thinner, but it's still actual hair, and not that fuzz that happens so often.

Treatment this weekend was... not good... but this morning seems a bit better, so far. Of course, I haven't taken any meds yet (was just about to do that), so we'll see what the day brings, but even a little while of feeling human is much welcomed on the weekends! Just wish I could stay warm, though!!!

I could send you my electric blanket and my furry lap-warmer.   Oh, wait...I would really miss the furry lap-warmer and I don't think she'd travel very well...but you can still have my electric blanket.  ;D

The blanket sounds wonderful!!! LOL  I shake like California when the fever hits, and nothing seems to stop it until goes away. Even the ibuprofen takes several hours to break it, anymore...

Mayhap you need to bring in a few of your fire dancers to share their warmth with you  ;)

Now that sounds like a plan, but so far I haven't met one that doesn't get burned when he gets to close to my Fire... LOL

Guess I'll have to start looking for one who's fireproof, eh?!?

LOL   My dear... as a good friend, it is only right and proper that I warn you that there is no one who cannot be burned, particularly when the emotions are involved! No amount of asbestos can defeat those flames...  LOL

(how kind of you to offer yourself up as sacrifice, though, my friend...)   :)

I'm sorry I've only now read this thread.  I'm sorry you are going through this.  I have to say, I admire your attitude - you are such a lovely person!  I love the idea of henna for your head when the time comes.  I think you can rock the bald look no problem :)  Plus, you can always use wigs on days you'd like to have hair.  You can have a differnet style and color every day.

Anyhow, I hope your treatments are going well, and I will keep you in my thoughts.

How kind of you! The many friends I've made here have made it much easier for me to get through this, and keeping positive helps so much when things start getting difficult!

Besides, if I absolutely have to be bald, shouldn't it be fun?!?  LOL

Update: Saw the doc on Wednesday, and she said everything is perfect, the virus is still gone and likely to stay that way forever since I've managed to keep going this far without interrupting the treatments at all because of symptoms, and I've only got 7 weeks left!!! All my levels are within normal parameters, and everything is right on track, although I'm starting to  feel a bit fatigued. My diet has suffered lately, though, because I've been too tired to do the cooking I enjoy, so I've been eating easy canned and frozen foods, and not getting the nutrition I really need, so I've stocked up on good fresh veggies, high protein lean meats, and foods high in Omega-3's so I can get back to feeling more energetic, even though I was told that during treatment days bacon is actually one of the best things I can eat!!! Go figure... LOL

Oh, and I have 2 ft. less hair this week!
