I hope you are doing alright. Feel better quickly.

Thanks everyone... I'm pretty shaky right now, but no yurking so far. The real shakes won't start until tonight, though. At least if it follows last weeks pattern. I slept through the first part, thanks to a wonderful friend who kept me up in chat all night again, and helped me stop falling apart so I could get on with it. Self-pity sucks, but it's nice to have someone there who cares when self-pity's all you can find inside.

Not sure if I can eat, but I need to try. And water... lots of water...

Everyone have tons of fun at TRF this weekend, and take lots of photos!!! I want to see it all... And lift a tankard in my name! Love you all...

Not doing as well this week. I'm feeling quite sick today, with nausea being a real problem. I guess I'll have to get something for that, but I'd really rather not have yet another pill to take.

Feeling yucky... need a hug... :-\

Rani, I recall my mother always used Cola Syrup when we kids had upset stomachs. You can buy it at the pharmacy. Easy on your stomach and it tastes nice. Sounds old school, but call the pharmacist and ask what they think.

Anna, I've heard of using Cola syrup too, but I've never tried it - ginger ale always helps me when I have the flu or some other stomach 'ick', and I love the flavor anyway...

...and here's another {{HUG}} and hopes that you won't need anything stronger than ginger ale!

Second, what's worked for me with the whole sick icky feelings has been chamomile tea with a touch of honey in it. It calms the stomach and sooths the nerves. Very relaxing stuff. They used to, and still do, give it to little ones to help them calm down before bed time.

My back up is flat coke or ginger ale. Can't take the bubbles on an icky stomach. It makes me feel worse not better. Plus I eat crackers, bread or pasta to help absorb what ever is making my tummy not happy.

And all of the above is pretty easy on you if it fails to keep everything down.  ::) Hate when that happens.

*HUGS* Feel better sweetie!

Hello Rani! You are still in my prayers and thoughts... I hope the nausea eases or is minimal/non-existant.  I second Fairyfly's chamomile tea recommendation... My grandmother went through intensive chemo and radiation, was constantly nausous, and found that chamomile tea and mountain yew tips (brewed with the tea) eased her tremendously.  It helped with the jitters too (the treatments made her extremely jittery) and certainly relaxed her.  Hope you feel better soon. :)

Thank you all for the helpful advice and hugs! I'm feeling better today than yesterday, and I've figured out what was going on. The anti-depressant I was prescribed was bothering my stomach and my nerves, so they're switching me to the one I requested in the first place... go figure! I've also got a scrip for Nexium, but I think I will see how this new med treats me before I start taking it.

I like chamomile tea, and I think I'll start drinking it occasionally again. I have to drink so much water to stay hydrated, though, that I'm not sure I have the room!

Thanks again for all the support and encouragement! It means so much to me, every day...

Chamomile tea isn't one of the ones that dehydrates you. It doesn't have as much, if any caffeine in it. So you should be able to use it in place of one of your glasses of water instead of trying to add it on top of all the water.

Nothing like having to run to the bathroom every few minutes to pee. *Giggles*  :D

Glad you're feeling better hun.

Thanks FF, and I hope things are starting to calm down after your scare, also!

I've seriously started to consider just moving the computer into the bathroom, since I seem to spend more time in there than in here!

At least my sense of humor seems to be floating back up to the surface!!!
