I like Aida, it's beautiful, but you do know as well as I do that a cat fits some names and not others.

This should give you lots of names to look at:

I happened upon Egyptian...Ameena is sweet...but as Elizabeth says it's got to fit.

Can we have a picture when she's feeling better?

Or you could go for the Big Gods and just name her Bastet - protector of women and homes.  The Egyptian glyph for both cat and the sound they make is Mayet, which is one of my favorite ever names.  Back in the 80's I went to NYC and went to the Natural History Museum there.  There was a woman - believed to be a consort - mummy there and her nickname was Mayet.  As I recall, she was buried with her pet gazelle.

I'm a firm believer that young blood keeps our pets more active and healthy longer.  Congrats on the new fur baby.

I am also liking Shai Nefer- good luck. Nefertari -beautiful and still Nuri.
I will take pictures when her poor belly is less bloated. She is a beautiful alert and loving kitten. She is ruling Meow manor. Amneris was the Princess in Aida- poor Aida was a slave. This kitten is a ruler I think! Isis?  Names are hard!

The "baby" is doing better this AM! Huzzah.  Giving her all the meds is not easy- but they are working. She was playing with a ball when I wend down to the kitchen this AM. She and Chingy , my 20 year old Siamese are friends now too. Still trying to see what name fits. She is a little cutie and so loving. A true Royal feline!

See the Goddess KNEW you needed a new kitten to cheer you up!!! How about Yule for a name! She sounds adorable!!!! PICTURES!

Queen Bonnie

No holiday names. This is not my favorite time of year. She has cheered me up- and given me lots to do though!
Kitten is feeling lots better. My neighbor and I went to get her a scratching post and a few non ABC( already been chewed) toys of her own and spent a few hours watching her play. She is a warrior princess!  Aeowyn? Ishtar? Still liking Amneris.
Her tummy is looking better. Pictures soon. She is a charmer.   And feeling much better. I had forgotten how much energy kittens have!

Do you have one of those cat toys that's a small fishing pole with a soft something-or-other on the line, to cast out for the kitten to chase and grab?  Another thing that some kittens (and puppies) like to chase is the light from a laser pointer.   ;) :D

OH Yes! The cat fishing pole is one of her favorites- it has a ball with feathers on the end!. She likes balls and tiny mice too.
Still no name. This is awful!I am working on it.

don't feel bad that you haven't named her yet.  It often takes us several days, even a week, before deciding on a name.
Got faerie dust?

I decided on a name- at last. I went with my first choice- Amneris the Egyptian princess from Aida. Neri is feeling much better and into everything. She got her claws clipped yesterday. My legs are happier! She is a sweetie and busy charming the Siamese. Chingy is already her buddy. I have to keep her away from Tachi- he is so sick. Batman is still miffed and Yoshi is curious.

Merlin

My newest cats name is "The Hit"
It's simple....much like she is. She wandered up one day with broken ribs and a broken jaw.... was slobbering all over the place. We took her to the vet to get repaired and her name became "The Hit".

I really want a Khao Manee but I've never purchased a cat before....we always rescue them.
Anál nathrach- Breath of serpent
Orth' bháis 's bethad- Spell of death and of life
Do chél dénmha- Thy omen of making
