Joy of all joys it was like I got a new kid yesterday!!! She came home from school proclaiming that she'd had, "The best day ever!" Not only was she in a good mood, but she did her homework with out a single gripe, AND helped out doing some chores around the house!!!

This morning she said she was, "focused" and ready to have another good day! Here's hoping that's true! 

Now to go deal with getting her health insurance straightened out...

Oh sweetheart, I am so incredibly happy for you!!! Even one good day can erase so many difficult ones, and it sounds like yesterday went a long way toward wiping a very full slate! Things will level out eventually, you'll see! Just keep the faith, love!

FF ... those days are wonderful and make you forget about all the hard ones. I hope tghe situation will keep improving and all dificulties will become a thing of the past.

Wonderful! Now just remember - positive reinforcement. Be sure to let her know how happy her behavior is making you, and how much more fun the two of you can have together, when she is like this. And give her a kiss on the top of the head for me, and tell her that everyone is proud of her!

Yea !  Great  to hear some  good  news  !

We had half a relapse today. She came home about 20 minutes early because she threw herself on the floor and started ripping a bulletin board off the wall.

She got praise for what she did right! No I didn't kill her for what she did wrong, but I did put her to work when her home work was done. She cleaned the stair case, took out the thrash, cleaned the liter pan, and put her own clothes away. Figured I'd try what my Gmom did to me and my sister. No time to get in trouble if you're cleaning the house. It's not just a punishment, but a life lesson about how hard others work and why they should be respected, not given a hard time. Plus, she didn't miss not getting to watch a movie or tv... she was too busy to notice that part of the punishment.

She asked me if she was going to get paid for cleaning the stairs {the first thing she had to do}, I told her yes, in food and a roof over her head.

When it was all done, and she laid down to go to sleep we talked about things, hugged and she even told me she loves me. Not a totally bad day. But one to remember.

The good half was the morning, she did awesome on a computer test she had to take about a book we'd read the night before for homework. She Aced it!!! She got hugs, high fives and kisses for that!

That does not sound at all like blood sugar. That sound like she was being a brat, and I think you handles it beautifully. Being a mother is the most frustrating thing you will ever do, but it sounds like, because of you, she might have learned something, yesterday. You should be very proud.

You're going to laugh Peddlin, and probably a few others as well. This morning while she was getting ready for school, she kept asking me what chores she'd have to do around the house when she was done school today!

Miracles are known to happen . There will be good and bad days, but at the end she may enjoy doing the chores ... you know, satisfaction for the things well done.

Take advantage of that attitude, and put her to work!!! At least one chore a day is good for kids, and gives them a sense of importance and inclusion in the family. Sounds like she's ready for a little responsibility!

Family update: Tiger and I are moving to FL! Things here at the house are not working out, the job market is horrid, so, we're moving to a friendly area with Family!

She's just as excited about it as I am, which is awesome!
