It the building next to the jousting field the one with the two big steel knights in front that use to have the big round table in it.   I wonder if the knights are still there and what effect having the pub there will have on the highland games.

Well, the audience might be a little rowdier......hmmm.... if it's shady, that might be my new favorite pub.

Its suppost to be an indoor pub along the lines of the Prince of Wales at TRF haven't heard if it will have AC or not.  The area around it has very little shade no big nice shade trees beyond the Pecan Grove.

This year, I think the Post-Parade Meet and Greet needs to be moved to the Dirty Duck Pub in Holly Field.

1. It's a lot less crowded.
2. It has a lot of shade.
3. We wouldn't have to yell over the screaming kids at the bungee jump.
4. Death Marchers might actually be able to join us.

Good idea, my Lady!  I'll be on that long hot march again this year honoring my dad.  I will endeavor to be there.

Couple of consideration points -
The parade will be reversed this year.  It will begin in the Holeyfield by the Duck and end where it has been coming out.

The Cat and Fiddle is not air conditioned and will be having the first wine tasting during the parade, so there will probably not be access until around 2:15 at the earlieset and it will only be available for about a half an hour.

The offer still stands for the Celebration Pavilion for use for the midday meet and greet.

Celebration Pavilion - I would say that X marks the spot.

That will take some getting use to.  It's also means the end of the parade will be up hill makes me glad to be sword not pike.

Going up hill could be more challenging for the belly dancers & cart-pullers as well, but it's not like it's a steep hill.

It is not showing up on the map yet as far as I can tell.

I thought it was the Pavilion right below the Scot's cottage, but that's not the name on the map.  Maybe the same place with a different name like rose garden and wedding garden being the same just known by different names.

Reposting this from earlier - I didn't know about the Celebration Pavilion either, but apparently it's by the Dirty Duck:

...the Festival would like to offer the Celebration Pavilion right by the Duck from 1 pm to 1:30 pm.  We are re roofing it to make it more water tight and there will be plenty of shade. We never got a sign up last year so you may not be aware of it. It is the little pavilion with built in seating...

Wonder if its that little covered eating area just below the village kichen?  Never knew it to have a name before.   There is or was a small stage there I remember the Motley Players III performed there their first season.

Be kinda hard to get there after parade if the route is reversed.

I was thinking the same thing.  If the parade was as it used to be, that would've been a perfect place for those of us who are in it.  We'll have to check it out at Preview.
