So sorry to hear of the passing of Six. He sounds like a very loving and friendly cat. I will raise a glass with you Groomporter.
OOH! I LOVE kitty pictures! They look very spoiled and happy Sabrina! Thank you!

Humph the universe is trying to replace Six already, We just got home from a Steampunk convention and found a little black cat in the yard. I'll take her to the vet tomorrow to see if she has a micro chip. She looks just like a little sister of our black cat so we had moment of panic when we saw her in the yard

We need to figure how to turn off the cat magnets in our house.

AWWW! What is cuter than a kitten!
Glad that kitten found you Groomporter!
I seem to have cat magnets here too!
And Velcro kitties. Attached to me! They miss me when I am at faire- but are doing OK. I have a treasure for a cat sitter!

Merlin the Elder

I have a question about cats, but first, some history. We used to keep cats, at one point hitting a baker's dozen, then I developed an allergy. I really bums me out, because I love cats. I can handle them a little, but have to be very careful, or I will suffer for hours!

We moved to a different community, and the back yard is wooded. We ended up with a feral tomcat trying to sneak dog food off the deck. Eventually, the cat adopted us. That was over ten years ago. We've never tried to claim him—I don't think he would permit it at all. He waits at the deck door for food and he'll allow Nim and I to pet him, but I've never seen anyone else near him.

Last week, Tigger, for all practical purposes, brought home a kitten! The kitten is as feral as he was when he first showed up, but Tigger allows her to eat out of his bowl on the deck, and I've even seen him chase other cats away from her.  Isn't this pretty unusual behaviour for a tomcat?

I've upped my standards. Now, up yours.

I had a tom cat that invited a few special kittens to share his food dish. I got lots of cats that way. I thought it was unusual at the time- but Fuzzball was a very different cat. Good You have a cat who shares, Merlin!

I found one of those cameras that you can hang from dog, or cat's collar for half price, and sent the Maine coon boy cat out to explore. He didn't really want to be outside so he didn't go far, but here's expedition #1

Just catching up! I was away for the holidays!
I LOVED Kittens in my Christmas tree! What fun!
I remember the year I had Siamese kittens in mine! I had made all the decorations unbreakable! Good thing! They destroyed it anyway! but I loved the kittens more than the tree!
Interesting pictures Groomporter! BRRR!

I would love to put that on "my" outdoor cat hes big on wandering about. He'll completely disappear but the second you pick up the food can he comes sprinting down the street.
