This was posted to the listserv:

The Dregs are a popular improv music and comedy act based in the Twin
Cities. Their extensive repertoire of both original and traditional folk
music has been heard in various venues across the Midwest, including Irish
pubs, special events, conventions, and a number of renaissance faires.
The Dregs have been entertaining audiences for 9 years, and have produced 5 music albums.

We are looking to add a sixth performer to our act. The opening is for a female performer. Qualifications include:

- Strong stage presence and improvisational acting skills.

- Strong vocalist

- Must be able to commit to the act long-term, including frequent shows,
weekly rehearsals, recording sessions, out-of-town gigs, costumed gigs,
and multiple-performanc e runs such as the Minnesota Renaissance Festival.

- We have a massive repertoire of original and traditional music and we
are adding new songs all the time. Ability to learn music quickly (or
perform music on-the-fly) is strongly desired.

- Ability to play a stringed or wind instrument is desired, but not
required.

- The selected performer will start rehearsals immediately, and is
expected to begin performing by August 21st (Opening day of the 2010
Minnesota Renaissance Festival. We expect it will take this long to get a
new performer up-to-speed. )

Open auditions will be held at the Bryant Lake Bowl Theater on February
13th from 3:00 - 5:00 P.M. Be ready to:

- Perform an a capella song you have prepared.
- Sing with other members of The Dregs.
- Demonstrate your improv skills with other members of The Dregs.
- Play your instrument (if you play one)

Please note that this audition is for a female performer only. Any male auditionees will be turned away.

For further information about The Dregs, you can look at our web site (www.the-dregs.net). For further information about the audition, do not contact the Bryant Lake Bowl, contact the band directly.
