I feel better knowing I am not the only one who suffered that fate.

II pity the poor fool taste testers who had to work to get those right!!

I feel for the poor schmo who had to figure out what "earthworm" tastes like.

I love the Bertie Bott's Beans!  I was, however, disappointed that they didn't come in a box like the movies have.  We gave some to my sister and her husband when they first came out.  We tried a few of the tamer flavors already knowing that Jelly Belly has always been pretty true to actual tastes.  She left the rest of the yucky flavors out for her brother-in-law because he always comes over to raid the candy stash.  He grabbed a couple handfuls of "dirt", "vomit", "earthworm", etc...and proceeded to pop them in his mouth one after another with no real response.  Then, when he was finished with them, he informed her that he thought she ought to check the date on her jelly beans because they MIGHT have gone bad or something.  Hahaha!  LOL!!  Are his taste buds functioning?!  Yuck  :P

I liked the new movie, but there were a lot of times I wondered how it got so far off from the books.  It was also a bit choppy, I thought.  Not a lot of time spent on some of the more important scenes, but other scenes, especially toward the end, I felt were too drawn out.

SPOILER BELOW:

I wasn't feeling it between Harry and Ginny.  Made her seem odd.  And, can anyone explain why they burnt down the Burrow?  I mean, where will the wedding be?  :)  And, when back at school, not one of the Weasley's seemed to be at all concerned that they had no home to return to.

I really likes Ron's scenes in this one.  Very funny stuff.  Harry with the Luck potion made me chuckle a few times, too.

Call me cynical but I question that they actually put the disgusting flavors n the box.  I have had several boxes (my cousing brings them from Britain) and I have never gotten 'eathworm, booger or vomit'.  I suspect they just list those flavors for the shock value.  Of course, possibly I just have been VERY lucky.  Unlike Prof. Dumbledore.

On the bottom of the list it says that it's an assortment and not all flavors may be in the bag.  My mom & I had a good hard look at the guide and found several of the nasty ones.  May be just a matter of the draw.

I like jelly bellys enought that a past expiration date wouldn't do much more than slow me down.  BIL's taste buds may be on strike.

The thing is, there is alot more in depth detail about the Harry and Ginny romance in the books.  Harry was really hurting at different time and Ginny was just always there to comfort him and be by his side.  She fought for him when needed and gave him a shoulder when otherwise needed.

As for the burrows, I could swear that they just rebuilt it or something with the twins tons of $...  I think that's why no one was too worried.

I totally agree with the Harry luck potion scenes, it totally cracked me up!!!

I would go for the "you were very lucky" part.

The burning of the burrow never happened in the book.  I'm confused as to why they decided to add it?!?!
Got faerie dust?

Stupid me!  Ya, I was kind of not remembering it myself, but I also thought the twins built them something else, or something like that... man it's been too long since I read that book!  I seriously need to pick it up again!

After I saw that in the previews I went back and read the book.  I don't have the greatest memory but I was positive the burrow wasn't attacked until the last book!

Well, it threw me for a loop, even after seeing it in the previews.  I've read, or listened to the stories (way too many times to be normal) and still miss/forget a lot of major things!  :)  Having the movies be so different really confuses me.

I feel sorry for those who have not read the books before watching the movies.  So many details missing.  Seems like it would be hard to follow.  The pace is so quick and missing the tiniest details could confuse you.

BTW, I guess the burning burrow is also in the video game.  I'm not liking the thought.  Just seems as wrong as burning a church or something!

So I saw it again yesterday. I think, despite some of it's major problems, that's it's definitely one of the better movies. I don't know if it quite makes it up to the level of CoS (my favorite), but of movies 3-6, it's definitely my favorite. I realized that I can forgive some parts of the lowsy ending. And I understand them putting the Burrow in it, when given the explanation that they did it in order to show the scare impact that the death eaters have. There are still a lot of problems (I think one of the worst, really, is that Harry wasn't petrified on the top of the tower), but overall, it's not so horrible.

Oh, and while the flavors have changed over time, when they first came out with Bertie Botts (I think around movie 2?), some of them were really disgusting. I remember having a horseradish one that I thought was coconut, and I wanted to vomit. I haven't had one since, even though it seems they cut that flavor. You have to be really careful, though, when you get the Belly Flops from the Jelly Belly factory - the ones we got last year, we're pretty sure had some Bertie Botts Belly Flops. Noticing the odd colors, though, we managed to avoid all but one, which I believe was either a sardine or pepper that my mom tasted and promptly spit out.

You two are cuter than bug's ears.

I got a box of Fudge Flies this morning.  The description, milk chocolate w/fudge filling - at least sounds edible.
