Fate, you are a cruel mistress

Hi all,

I recently found out that my company is requiring me to move to Arizona, and I will be leaving on March 23. I couldn't believe it. And, of course, my first thought was, "but....but what about Scarby!?!"

The company, however, does not care. If we weren't in the middle of an economic apocalypse (or so they tell me), I would probably quit rather than move, but I don't think I can do that at the moment. So off I go into the desert.

This will be the first year in five years I won't have a FoF pass.   But I will be there for both days of Easter weekend, if I can manage it. I hope to see some of you there.

In the meantime, until I can arrange my triumphal return to God's country, keep the dream alive. Don't let this economic nonsense kill the faire. I need something to come back to!

Very sad to miss scarby, or any faire. But I hear AZ is full of all manner of magical wonders as well. But then, I'm from nevada, and actually MISS the desert.

(Is it wrong for scarby/trf to have been MAJOR deciding factors when deciding to settle down in TX?  Ok, that and it's CHEAP here.)

BUT- surely something good will come out of it?  If not, surely you can find a gypsie to hex the higher ups who have doomed you to sit on the sidelines this year!
