Wow, what a great weekend it was!!
We had wonderful crowds out on Saturday! Lots and lots of new Faire goers came to see our little sea-side village in action. As well as our rousing crew of dedicated friends and 'faire'-mily.
Several weddings occured and there isn't anything prettier than seeing a newly wedded couple spending their time in our humble home.

Sunday dawned a bit heavy with dew. It seemed that the weather guesser's predicted doom and gloom and I'll be darned if, when our good Queen Anne 'Threw wide the gates', the rain ceased!
Except for the occasional 'Highland sprinkle' early on, the sun came out after parade and the day was absoloutly glorious!
The Easter service this year was spectacular, so many of our fine nobles truly put on the dog to show off their finery, with veils and Easter Lillies it truly was a high church service.
The Villagers were filled with high energy and had so much fun welcoming others into the games, gossip and goings-on around towne.

I betcha if you have not gotten in on the gossip, you should ask your nearest villager!

It was truly a great weekend! I wish we could have been at faire Sunday for the services.  Our most wonderful Queen all way does her best with the weather. :)

Saturday morning was a little chilly, but we had beautiful weather the rest of the day.
The Baron of Timis brought a big honkin' weapon to the chess match on Saturday that was worth seeing.  ;D

Saturday we visited with my parents for their first time.  I think they were a bit nervous at first but they really loved it.  My mom was even a bit disappointed because we didn't have more time for shopping!  They named the Birds of Prey & The Rogues as their favorites with the Glassblowing demonstration coming right behind those.  I think they may be considering coming back over Memorial Day weekend for at least 1 day because they had so much fun.

We came about 2pm Sunday & it was odd to see so few people.  The 3pm 'brawl' was hilarious!!  I think we almost enjoyed it more than a regular chess match.  We did a fair amount more shopping than a normal day because we knew the vendors were not busy & could give us extra attention.  I bought my first bodice (Moresca Faerie bodice) & the salesperson helped me a lot & even showed DH how to lace & unlace the bodice.

Glad you liked the Brawl! :D
It was much safer than the 'soup' that was the Chess Board.

And woot to the first Bodice! Remember you can look beautiful and still be able to breath.  ;)

Easter service was really good. I stood with my back to the stage, but it I was glad I could hear everything.

I was so sorry I could not be there last weekend!
The good news is my Royal Feline is doing better!
Perhaps I can make a weekend in May- or a day trip!
I am hoping! I miss faire so much!
I will try my best on the weather spells! Not quite sure they work- unless I am there!
Huzzah Cowgrrl! A Moresca bodice is the BEST!! I LOVE the fairy bodices!! Watch out! They are habit forming!
Wingardium Leviosa!
Tis not the length of the staff- but the magick there in!

The Missus, daughter(who lives in FW), and I were able to make it on Saturday. Decided to do the kilt thing this time around as I was afraid it would be too hot for the crusader kit and the ol' MacGregor blood was a'stirin in me bones. Turned out to be an ABSOLUTELY gorgeous day! Had to drive back to Houston on Sunday, so we missed the Easter Service. Saw a few people I recognized from the forum, but being the shy Scot ;)......welll......it was a great day just bein' me. ;D

I missed the service we had a wedding and the parade at the same time.  Still it was a fine weekend Sunday felt a little strange with most everyone in grab.
