We just had our own little fest here in town and it was fun, though I'm hoping to get the head planner to go with us to the AZRF this coming season, so she can see what a real Ren Fest is like. She relied a lot on guild members to help and they more or less "dictated" to us what they would do instead of pitching in. I had one guild that asked to be in the event that were belly dancers and they never showed up for their Sunday performance. Also on Sunday we had some good wind hit us and for some reason the guilds all packed up and left early on Sunday before the event was supposed to close, therefor forcing the event to end early. Can you tell I'm not pleased with these guild and SCA members???

Life has gotten better for me - I retired last Monday! No more boss, no more stress! Looking forward to February and our faire; since I don't have a real job anymore, I expect to be able to attend more weekends.

Sorry to hear it didn't go so well. I wish I could have attended, but I was very busy finishing up some projects at work. (I wanted to leave a clean slate when I retired.) Hope to see you in the spring!

Well,

All has been OK, but with family and work taking the front seat, it has been hard to keep up. Oh and the three weekends i went to TRF had something to do with it also.
