greetings all

we at sherwood forest faire need some specific talents

the first is a call for a volunteer or two to take over construction of the wishing well.  i will purchase the materials, but my guys don't have a clue how to construct a wishing well.  they can make the roof over it.

the proceeds of the wishing well will all go to Make a Wish Foundation.

if you can help, let me know.

the second is a larger more intense request...and will take a lot of technical skill.

within 4 weeks, we have the seven stones arriving from overseas which will make up the Seven Sisters Celtic Stone Circle.

each of the seven stones are approx 1 meter in diameter and 3-1/2 to 4 meters tall.  we need some skills and equipment to erect them in the astrological design we have researched on the grounds.
each stone weighs approx 2.5 tons.  yeppers, they are big and impressive.

any rennies out there who want to help or manage this project with the technical skills to actually get the stones erected with killing someone or dropping them and having them break in a 100 pieces?

ok, there ya go.  we are asking for the rennie community to come to the aid of the faire.

Breandan

I have some familiarity with erecting menhirs (standing stones), but there's no way I can squeeze time out of my schedule to make it up there and devote the time you'd need. However, if you get a labor crew, I can walk them through the basics and act as a technical adviser of sorts. Here's some pics to give you an idea-

looks fun.

hope we can get some folk with expertise on the grounds to assist.

don't know if a fork lift is sufficient.

any of you heavy equipment/construction type folk, give us a holler.
