Not a big fan of the various types of "meats" in it, or of sheep's stomach, either... so the Haggis EATING contest will be happily avoided by me, thanks!    Foods have to pass a pretty rigorous 5 phase inspection to qualify as actually edible for me... taste, texture, smell, appearance, and mental imagery... and if it fails any one of them, then it doesn't make it past the gag reflex.

I ate Haggis at my grandmothers.....it wasn't bad until I knew what it was. (I was 8ish) So I want to try it again, but that is something I have to know you REALLY well to allow you to cook for me.

I don't eat organ meats... heart, liver, tongue, kidney... toxins build up in organs and are very difficult to get rid of through a regular diet, for any animal (including humans), so I just avoid them.  It's bad enough worrying about what the regular cuts of meat contain, much less the parts of the animals that are designed specifically to draw in toxic substances, whether they're able to dispose of them or not...

I'm not supposed to eat organ meats (by order of the cardiologist, as I recall), but still will on occasion. My favourite organs are calf liver (smothered in onions and bacon!), chicken liver, and Hammond B3.
