One more trip to my home away from home. Last year, i almost couldn't wait for it to be over... this year it's kinda sad.  :-[  Might be that i had more fun, in faire, than ever before or it might be the tightening of bonds between old friends or all the new ones i have welcomed into my Fairemily... Brothers, Sisters & Cousins.  One last HUZZAH, Sunday, then it's move on to the Yuletime and my second most favorite time of the year.

*Maybe it IS my most favorite time of the year since TRF runs into the holiday season...*  ;D

I know what you mean... this will be our first closing weekend, and I can already feel the melancholy of a bittersweet parting... before we're even fully packed to begin our journey.  I'm excited to see so many of the people I've come to care so much about, and sad to think it will be months before I am able to see many of them (of you) again.

But I have to remind myself that we have each other every day here, and there will be Sherwood soon, and after that Scarby, and some of us will make it to RenDezvous... and all these happy meetings to look forward to helps to push away, somewhat, my sadness at the end of such a glorious Faire season.

I'm pretty sure that Faire is my favorite season of the year... no matter where or when!  ;)

Can't wait to see those of you who will be there, and to those who will be in other places, I wish you love, laughter, warmth, family and friends during this holiday, and all the days that follow!  Until we meet again...

We'll be out in a couple of hours... a bit later than I had planned, but it's already turning off really cold up here, and I don't want to rush too much and forget something important.  Stiil get through Dallas before the traffic, so I'll be happy...  And it's FAIRE!!!  ;D

I had to skip last year, so I was very glad to return and enjoy meeting some of the rennies from this site.  I admit I was expecting more in the way of Xmas programs, buty all in all, I had a great time.  BTW, I think the food is getting better!  There was a food booth near the swings that sold fruit and cheese plates.  Thank you!

Sunday was a beautiful day after a chilly Saturday night... made bearable by a bottle of German Antifreeze. Closing day was relaxing but i found it hard to leave the grounds this year.  I must've turned around a half a dozen times as i was walking out the gates, trying to fix this year's good times in my mind.  The time was so long awaiting faire and the time spent seems so fleeting...

As the sun sinks
Life closes tired eyes
As hello turns its back and
It greets goodbye

Never wanted to believe
Or have to understand
Time waits for no one
Child, woman or a man

The burdens that gather
The crosses that bare
What's given and taken life the
Ocean to the sand

No final curtain calls
No more storms that rearrange
To hold you in my arms and to
know that nothings ever gonna change
To bend the hands of time
So here we stand and through it all
I love you now and beyond forever
Never wanna believe or have to understand
Time waits for no one
Child, woman or a man...

Now it's time for that long winter's nap.  To my Fairemily, you guys made this year memorable... a season full of good times and a chance to get to know some of you much better!   ;D ;)  Thank you to all of you!
