why do I have a sudden fear of crazed fans hiring a voodoun to bring me back from the dead if I cack before I finish the series?  :o

what's worse is I let Fraser read some of the first book, which is currently undergoing editor-induced revisions... Never trust a determined man in a kilt with an endless supply of chicken's feet and candles :D

LOL  It's me surrounded by Pirate Lads at Scarby '09.  Meg took it "candidly" while I was posing for Grov, facing off to the left a bit.  It's actually my very MOST favorite Faire photo of me, EVAR!!!  I figured it was time to retire that old avatar, since it doesn't really even look much like me, anymore (and I wasn't even in garb, then!). 

This pic was taken on Memorial weekend of '09, as I was heading out the gate on the first day, with the Bayou Scoundrels.  We happened upon a couple of these pirate lads posing with a woman in mundanes, and when she was done I just jumped right into the space she had been occupying, and suddenly there were 3 more pirates crowding into the shot (one is just outside of the frame)!  Someone said something just a bit bawdy, and we were all laughing when this shot was captured, and it turned out to be such an amazing photo that I've used it for my facebook avatar ever since! 

Oh, I found out later that all but one of these guys are actually members of THIS forum!!!  :o  :D  They were all awesome that day, and they're all really great guys!

LOL  If I recall correctly, it wasn't even all that racy... just something silly, but it was funny, and it resulted in a great photo, with a great bunch of gentlemen rogues!  Well, I think it's pretty great, anyway!  ::)  :D  Of course, Meg (EloquentXI) is the one who took it, and she's such an amazing photographer that she can make anyone look wonderful!

She did catch the moment very well. Everyone looked quite in their element and it is a good piccy.

Gentlemen Rogues......as yes....one of the greatest anachronisms of our age!!!! We roguish types are giving our historical namesakes fits I am sure, bwahahahahaha! ;) ;D
