If the 2004 version of Dawn of the Dead has taught me anything, it's that zombies can run really fast and you should never tell someone you wouldn't save them, because you will get bit and turn into a zombie and the ones you were mean to will shoot you.

Well, if they have any sense at all, they'd just shoot you right after you got bit!!!  That way there's no chance that you will infect anyone else, and, uihhh... more food for everyone else.  ::)  :D

I like the zombies in the remake of Omega Man with Will Smith... I Am Legend was the name of that one.  They were more like ravenous animals, and they wanted more than just brains... they wanted flesh!  Oh, but the zombies from ZombieLand were awesome, also!  That was one of the best, funniest zombie movies I've ever seen!  Right up there with Sean of the Dead...

Speaking of flesh eating creatures... it's time for me to go start supper!  ;)  LOL

Frasier - Is there still a meeting of the minds at the Firkin on Tuesdays?

If you're friends with Zaubon on Facebook, he usually posts photo albums of things that go on at Firkin Tuesdays.

So true!

I Am Legend was pretty good. He also had a zombie proof house of a sort.

I liked the bus from Dawn of the Dead that had all the chainsaws sticking out of it. Not only does it kill zombies, but it also works in a pinch if you need to drive through a forest for firewood. lol

I've never been, so I can't say, but from the pics it looks as though everyone has a good time.

LOL  I have to confess... I've never seen the remake, so I'll have to Netflix that one...  No chainsaw wielding buses in the original, though!  :D

Personally, my weapon of choice is a rocket launcher... and a really high rooftop!  High enough so that raining zombie pieces can't infect me, and also high enough so that I can see the best place to aim it!  Zombie-Mart is going down...  :P

HOLY HANNA-BARBARA!!!!
Have to agree with Merlin....this thread moves beyond the speed of light. Spend a couple of days off-line due to workus interruptus and see the page count go from something like 300 to 392!

And I've missed soooo many comebacks to being blindingly white, ginger, AND freckled allllll over. (Yes Rani, my better half likes the all-over freckle thing as well) ;) :o

Good to see folks posting again. 'Twas getting really boring around here.

Warcat - Sorry I missed "Grandma" last year. Heard a lot about your special char, and hope you have the chance to do it again.

See, I told you all... freckles are CUTE!!!  :D

There always seems to be someone on facebook announcing they're going to Firkin on Tuesdays, so I'm sure you would find rennies there... although it seems to run kind of late for some!  I'm not sure what time most get there, but I do know that several usually stay pretty late.

If I am fighting Zombies (which I will be, I assure you) I d@mn well expect my combat vehicle to have a well stocked humidor. I'll need to be chomping a nice Cuban while tossing grenades, getting headshots with one arm and flame throwering with the other.

Most seem to get there after 9:00 or 9:30, though I think Valt comes directly from work and gets there earlier.

As an aside, the Knight vehicle series is basically a yuppified and overpriced chochkie for the wealthy and stupid. We get the same effects with our up-armoured Tahoes and Suburbans, but without the overt appearance of an armoured vehicle (well, except OCONUS where we have the Whiffle Bat on the roof... long story).

As for zombies...
