The only time I ever drink Amber is at 'fest. I still have a half a bottle from last year so I haven't really been looking for it. Blue Max does not have any, but I have a good idea of who may. I will have to check things out after work tomorrow and see what I come up with!...

The word from National Beverage here in Florida (and therefore the southern district) is that the warehouses are empty of it.  Any they have left is sitting on shelves at a store.

We put in a recount request (and last ditch effort), but its not looking good.  Sorry guys.

Just back from Ottawa, a few liquor stores have heard of it but nobody had any.  Didn't make it over the bridge into Quebec to check.
It's always time for Chardonnay!

I'm on the board for a local community theater (Little Canada). We're planning on having a fundraiser in October with a silent auction. If I put my bottle of Amber up for auction, would you guys come to bid on it?

I haven't tried Amber but it sounds like something I would like.
If anyone finds any locally in the Twin Cities area let me know as I will take a bottle and would pick it up, be forever grateful etc.
The auction sounds like something I would bid on as long as the price wasn't out of hand. Looks like it sold in the $35.00 range.

Funny how when something is not available anymore everybody wants it.

Looking at getting a flask this year at MNRF, been saving my pennys. Looks like Amber would go well in the flask.

Yep, true.  But many here have been fans before it went away.  One last taste, but alas no...

Well....my little honey hole for Amber is all dried up! Can't find any here on the south side.

Ok I scored 2 bottles of Amber. Mmm very good stuff. Wow is it sticky. Would be geat on pancakes.

I picked up both as I figured someone here might want one. Whoever commits to it first by PM or email, it is yours for what I paid for it.
I am in the NW burbs.
Also there is 1 more bottle at a liquor store in the SW Metro. I will give info after I sell this bottle.

5 BOTTLES FOUND

Mgm Liquor Warehouse

This place has 5 bottles of Amber for $27.99 each but if you take all 5 they will knock the price to $25.00 each!!  You MUST call ahead and speak to the owner, Laurie.  Tell her you are with the Ren folk who are looking for the Amber.  I'd buy it up and hold for everyone but it's a very long drive for me, just to buy more Amber.  Good luck!
Nothing clever to say here.  Not enough caffine yet.

So Winterland sets me up with a bottle, most generous.  I went to pick it up at his work where he had it in his car.  It was a hot and sunny day so I was driving my Pontiac Solstice.  For those unaware, it has no trunk (seriously, you can't get a loaf of bread in there).  I went from Winterland's to a hobby store leaving the bottle on my front seat...on a hot day...with the top up...black car, black interior, black top...Hot.

Well when I came out an hour later the paper seal on the cork was half torn from the internal pressures applied to it.  The cork was distended, I could push it in a quarter inch and it would slide back up...Oh oh!

I dropped the top, turned on the air, and placed it on the passenger floor board resting against the seat.  Almost home I tapped the brake for a merging car...I grabbed at the bottle as it tipped forward..."BOOP"!

Yep, sweet sticky scotch all over my hand, cork on the dash, open top roadster with an unsealed bottle doing 60 down the highway.   The car reeked of booze.  Wheel in one hand, scotch in the other...Just like college.  I pulled over and retrieved the cork from the drivers floor, put it in the bottle and held it between my legs.  I had nothing to wash my hand with so I licked it off thinking "Well that's stupid".  "Seriously officer, it happened just like that".
