Was that the longest thread title yet?

Monday the 17th of August...One show only!  The Day the Earth Stood Still  The original!

I'm taking my son, in his first decade in life, along with my dad well into his 70th.  If you have never been to this theatre you are missing a true cultural gem (I'm not talk'n 'bout some damned silly cherry in a spoon either).

This was the theatre of my youth and it never looked as good then as it does now.  When I was young this theatre was well past it's prime but I still remember biking there on my super cool Schwinn with a bannana seat and a sissy bar!  There's a great Dairy Queen right next door (Ooh, a Mr. Misty ice cream headache I still feel thirty years later!).

a couple friends live close to this theater! We go to the dairy queen frequently, they play music and have a nice patio with pretty flowers.

Looks like a cool show! Also neat to see the theater playing originals too!

One of the great all time classic scifi movies.  Too bad it won't be screening while we are in town :(

Enjoy!  And for those who haven't seen this gem of a golden oldie, check it out.  A rare opportunity to see it on the big screen.
Movie buff extraordinaire!
