Well, we've had our rest THIS weekend—for those who'd like to join in, here's a chance for our goodbyes.

From 5 on this coming Saturday, August 15, 2009, those wishing to meet, dine, laugh, and so forth are welcome to join us at Dave & Buster's at the Colorado Center, I-25 and Colorado Boulevard, in Denver.  My party and I will be there from 5 on, we will ASK management to seat 'Colorado Renaissance' folk together, but due to rather drastic costs last time, this will be a 'catch as catch can' sort of gathering, show up, look for those you'll miss, and have a good meal and a good time at a place good for both.

There's a big gaming floor, pool tables, and a lot of other fun things, alas, the good old days of the MechWarrior VR booths have passed.  There is a bar, and a lot of simulations, such as that horse race simulator that's been fairly popular.  They don't encourage very young children late in the evening, it's not exactly Chuck E. Cheese's.  But, it's a very far cry from a dive.  We've been there the last three years, the food's rather a lot better than Casa Bonita.

Remember that this is an unofficial gathering-past, current, or selected visitors, if you're getting this, you're welcome and if you know someone nice who'd enjoy coming, bring 'em along.  It'll be a chance to laugh about the Faire, and make a fond farewell or arrangements to get together in the off season.  We've always had a good time.

For the last time-this season!  Here's the contact information:

Here, again, is the location and contact information for Dave & Buster's:

Dave & Busters is a nice place, next to the Colorado Center IMAX theater, also nice, with good parking and a bit easier for the folk of the South and North to get to.

Here's a web site:
Address: 2000 S. Colorado Blvd - Denver, Colorado 80222

TO MY KNOWLEDGE they do not outlaw those under 18 after 6, but it might be worth the youngest set checking that out. We'll have enough adults to keep you in line, if it comes down to that, or at least people who LOOK like adults. We know who we are. We'll keep watch to escort under 21 cast members in for about an hour, so if you'll need an adult to get in, I'd suggest being there at 5 or not too much later.

My fond best to you all,

That was fun.  Weird, but fun.  Thanks very much to all who came, and we'll hope to see all who'd like to come next year.

Dear Friends,

If you can read this, consider yourself as invited as anyone to THIS year's Officially Un-Official Cast, Friends, and Well-Wishers Cast Party.  About the only difference from last year, by request of the Baron and Baroness, is that we're moving the dinner to Sunday, we'll start a little earlier and end a little earlier to accommodate the working classes.

It's yet another case of, 'Show up, eat together (if possible), snug, say your goodbyes, and get it out of your system... Okay, NOT get it out of your system.

Say you'll be there and we'll look for you!

Fond best,

The Professor

Sounds like so much fun! I would love to be there. We're doing the Colorado Scottish Festival next weekend, though, and by the time we're done tearing down Saturday evening... Well, all I wanna do is shower and pass out. Maybe I can make another gathering...

Professor - Would that be tomorrow, August 7th?

Mein Gott In Himmel, Professor!  With all due respect, please allow me to correct the record:  The Baroness and I made no such "request".  We merely noted that, were the cast and well-wishers get together to be held Saturday next, we would be unable to attend due to a previous commitment.  That was not a request to change the date for our convenience.

Please schedule the event to suit the maximum number of people, and we'll be there if at all possible.

Sounds like that will be a grand time! I hope everyone who goes has fun!

Dear Baron and Baroness,

Forgive me, I pray you, my clumsy phrasing--but the idea of shifting the event to

AUGUST 15

was so the two of you could attend.  You are quite correct to note that you did not ASK that the event be shifted, we would just... like... the two of you... (And everybody else) to be there.

Allesklar?

Best!

Allesklar und alles gut.  We certainly plan to be there.

You might, however, consider sending the notice/invite via email since most cast members do not frequent this forum.

You all have a great time and tip one back for me.

CapnJack

I will definitely be there if I can (and I think I can)!

Only thing is, next Sunday is actually August 14th, not the 15th.  Just thought I'd point that out.
