Adriana, I didn't see you yesterday, maybe I didn't know where to look, come find me if you get a chance.  how did everybodys day go yesterday?  I had more fun yesterday than I have had in a LONG time.  got really burned though, ouch!  think that I will try to stay in some shade today.  I cant wait until we get to see the picture of all of us yesterday (hint, hint, wink, wink, nudje, nudje).  well cant wait to hear from more people!

Angelhood

YEAH PICTURES! I was really upset when we got there and I discovered we forgot our camera. The Veiw in teh area was almost as good as the faire and the people!

So it sounds like everyone had fun, It was so much fun to be fireflickers "handler".  It would take her an hour to go where anybody else could go in a minute or less, trying to leep her hyderated was a bit of a challenge, but we had a very good friend from the royals let us know that water was always avalible to us.  I got burned to a chrispy critter, but it was worth it.  I stayed after hours and was able to see some wonderfull stars, and firedancing.  the guys with the stilts (fox and fish if I remember right) were very kind in letting a few people try stiltwalking, it was funny to see who fell time after time and who got it right away.  I got to see some old faces but I got to make many more friends, many of whom I was able to hand out the favors that I made (I had none left so I will consider that a good sign ;D ).   More than anything, I truly did not want it to end, it really makes it a place where you can finally be home and  escape your mundane life.

I've posted a bunch of pictures on The Highland Rogues' fan page on Facebook if you'd like to check them out. I'm afraid they are mostly of the ship and crew. I didn't get much of a chance to wander around and snap pictures what with being promoted to captain this weekend.

Hey- Arent You?

It was a blast up there this weekend.  It might have been way hot on Saturday but the weather was wonderful on Sunday.  It was great to see our Queen Ann having fun and playing with her cousin Queen Cyn.  I am in deep appreciation of the hospitality of the Court and both Rogue fleets up there.  I enjoy going to this Faire each year and will continue to come again in the future.

Thank you to all the RF people that I got to meet up there this weekend.

Being a spotter, for what is esentially a body puppet can be a rough, demanding job.  It's more then being eyes & ears and support.  it can also be defense.  Even the beloved unicorn at faire has been attacked by durnken arse's more then once.  Kudos to you!

Fireflicker

Hey, I just wanted to thank everyone for making it such an awesome event! Lady Firekissed, i just wanted to thank you again for all the help that you gave me- I know that sometime it can be hard to be on kid duty for a rawr dragon.
Angelhood- a friend, or a snack? >:)
Hopefully, I'll see you all again next year!

LadyFireKissed

Fireflicker I would do it again in a heartbeat, it was an honor.  I cannot wait to see you again and I know that our other friend would say the same.  In fact he is really hoping that you will join his guild.  It can be a interesting job especially when the dragon decides that it does not talk, lucky dragon (couldn't have possibly been so that she didn't HAVE to talk to people all the time, could it),  so you have to communicate to people that she is not, in fact, "a dog". ;D.

It  was great to meet all of you, and reaquaint with others.

Another link for pictures, the Grand Junction Daily Sentinel has a page where they show all the pictures they took, but didn't print all in the paper...you can purchase copies from them also. All are very good quality.

I had a wonderful time seeing old friends and making new ones!

Angelhood, thanks for the link!!  You might want to tack the "32" on the end or it brings up some other slideshow.  I recognize a lot of faces in the photos - including a number of forum folks!

I do hope Dungeon Spleen is recovering from his conquest of Jacob's Ladder...

Couple of questions
Angelhood- could you post a link for the technologically challenged like myself of the pictures you have on face book??

Fireflicker- could YOU post the link for the guy that took a few pictures of you, he gave you some kind of card??
