Salutations and Felicitations to All!  ;D

Please forgive this blatant advertisement for a moment.... but of course, it's for a noble cause.

Your local Wenches will be at the new stage in the Valley of Aberdare (You know, the NEW AREA) at 3:45 to 4:15 this Saturday and Sunday for our Annual Drench a Wench fundraiser Benefitting Breast Cancer.

If you have a buck or two, stop by and toss a few sponges at us wenches - we'll thank you for it.  :-* Trust me on this.   ;D

We do this for women everywhere - our mothers, our daughters, our friends and sisters... and yours too. We're fighting to stamp out Breast Cancer for good in our lifetime. With your help, we can do it. And, we have a lot of fun doing it.  ;D

Remember:  Valley of Aberdare, 3:45 - 4:15 this Saturday and Sunday.

Toss a sponge for all the women in your life that you love an cherish.

Pass the word if you think about it -- we hope to see a bunch of you there!

I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who turned out for DAW this weekend...

Your support means a lot to us in Local 57 - we're very happy that you could swing by and help our cause - and give us someplace nice to wipe off our lipstick!!

:-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-*

so THANKS for getting us wenches WET for a good cause!

A special thanks to Stella, who was our MC for this event (that's Maritime Character, I think. :-)/ Her support crew was very valuable on Sunday, hawking, and general helping out - besides that, Stell is very adept at keeping us targets focused on being loud and boisterous, keeping our energy up, and helps keep us running on time.

Thanks also to Greybeard and Austin for helping hawk and bring in patrons to play our game! You guys are awesome!

As for the rest of the henchwenches that were present for DAW -and there are several:

I really appreciate your efforts, your energy, and your time ~ as you know, we can't get anything worthwhile done without teamwork, and I am very proud of the teamwork and dedication of those wenches who joined us and helped make DAW run this weeekend.

I thank you, the Susan G. Komen foundation thanks you, and breast cancer patients and surviors everywhere thank you.

We had fun, we got wet, and we saved some b00bies!  :D

so, shall we do it again?

So how did Drench A Wench turn out?
I'm sorry I couldn't be there I had other obligations, because I would have supported that great cause.

I can help cover Austin's absence if you need me, as this is a great cause.

Alas, do not think me Noble for supporting this as it's for selfish reasons....I love boobies! ;D

On a serious note though, my sister just went through a double mastectomy and all the associated chemo, radiation, etc.., but she's doing well now.  My aunt is also a breast cancer survivor.

Nothing better in life than enjoying a pint amongst friends...Huzzah!

Lims

Aye!  If we do it again this week, I will gladly help out as well - whatever I can do.  I'll talk to you Saturday morning.

Cyron

well ladyann.. i got a few pics from it.. looked like it went well.. and i have finally gotten around to fixing the database corruption (aka: deleted the entire slq databse server and remade it) that screwd my photo site up.. and i should have the pics from sunday up and they will be included.
I'm walking in a dream half the time, and sleeping through reality the other half.
Warning: Have camera, WILL Shoot!!

Katie Bookwench

I'm planning on doing it again this weekend.

Bad news- we were forgotton on the Broadsheet for this weekend.    :'(

HOWEVER, we're going to forge ahead, because we're WENCHES, and that's what we do.   :D ;D :-*

There is nothing scheduled (per the broadsheet) in the Valley of Aberdare at that time.... which is 3:30 (3:45) to 4:15, so look for us at that time.

THANK YOU, kind Gentles, for your offer of help!  As a matter of fact, you can be of assistance. For one thing, please remind everyone you see all day Saturday that DAW will be going on.

Stella should be in the vicinity of the Guinness Pub pretty much all day, so if you'd like to help out at the event, see her to volunteer.

Mags and I will be dropping by the pub at about 3 to try to drum up some more interest. Then we'll head over to "Area 57" (as we like to call it) and start setting up.

Your help and encouragement is GREATLY appreciated, guys!

LV, glad to hear your sister is doing so well!  I'm doubly glad to hear so many of us know so many breast cancer SURVIVORS rather than victims.

yep. we like boobies a lot too.  ;D
