While Tudor Tailor calls this the English Fitted Gown, Reconstructing is calling it the Flemish Gown.

Either way it is the true Merchant Class Gown, so if you want to look Historically Accurate? This is the pattern for you!  So if you have been wanting a gown that does not involved a huge farthingale but want to look awesome? Try this look!  I am making one for Summer Tourney Season for the SCA, I will be using 'summer weight' or what we call Gabardine Wool or thin wool.  I am dyeing the wool a blue/grey and doing my kirtle in some damask I have hanging about.  So I am a Size 16/18 so I will be doing this pattern and tell you all how it works okay?

Check it out on their site:
