This will be the very first year of a brand new Faire!
This years Faire will be held on a 1 acre site with vendors, food, shopping and merriment. If the land owner sees a good turnout and happy faces, he will open a permanent five acre site to this Faire next year. SO! EVERYONE is invited to turn out, have an amazing time, and get this party started!

I know I'll be there. The Kingdom of Umbria was asked to make a showing so I'll be there with them. Hope some of you can make it so we can have another faire to play at.
Plans is bein' laid out now at the Az Corsair's site.
Thank you for the information.
If my hubby The Rogue Pirate Jim can get the Saturday off, we may come up from Tucson.
I am so there... anyone wanna camp with me?
I want to go! I hope to go!
Mare, I'm not much for camping (traumatic childhood memories ~shivers~) or I'd take you up on that. I was thinking of making it a day trip - a long day trip - probably on Saturday.
190 miles, 3 1/2 hours from Tuxon! Crikey that dooable. Can we all converge on a pizza joint afterwards fer food an music?
Its been @20 years since I been through Show Low. Does they still roll up the sidewalks at dusk ;)
I wish I had the energy to drive 3 hours, hang out all day, and drive 3 hours home. Those days are over. sigh.
Moot point though. I'll be in CA with the grandbaby for a week. Yay for me.

Its a lovely pop up and I can hook up to electric at a campground!
*G*
I'm in! And got into the Best Western for $81 a night. I know there are many others going too! They might have to make it bigger just to get us all in :)
Myself and the beloved will be there on Sunday
Hi, all. I'm Francesca. I'm new to the site, but not new to the faire. My family and I have been devoted festival-goers for several years now. Great news of a new arena for festivities - thanks for sharing the info. We've been sorely missing the Devonshire and Festival in the Pines parties. This will help get us to February without too much pain! Hope everyone has a great time. :)
would love to go if I can get the time off work, and convince Jessica to make the trip, maybe even con the Marquis and Julianne to come along
Hi, everyone.
Didn't get to make it to the party - life has a annoying habit of throwing the occasional monkey wrench in the works (and at my head!), but would someone who did attend be so kind as to please let me know how it went? Would love to know all the deatils - were there a lot of folks, what type of entertainment, good food? (Especially the food)! I've always thought a state the size of ours should have more than a couple of festivals to sate our appetites for history and play. I would love to hear that this was a success. Thanks so much - would appreciate any info!
Is ya on the right thread Lass? It don't be happinin' till middle'o next month.
Oops! Here's where my reading skills might have come in handy. Yes, on the right thread, but maybe not on the right planet. I misread and thought it was June :-[. I guess it's a good thing I didn't show up and sit around wondering where everyone was. I will now just go away in embarassment, and now that I will probably be able to make it after all, I will hopefully be able to lend support to a great new venue. That is, if I don't misread the road signs as well and get lost on the way up. Thanks for the heads up, kind Morgan Dreadlocke!

I been deep thinkin' on that too. How's about everybody make a small cardboard R/F shield fer the back bumper. At least we can all be lost together 8)
Looks like I'm a go with crew as me other plans have been changed. Does the faire need volunteers?
WoW The site is different! Just wondering who all will make it up to my area?
Lori
Hey guys, is there a website for this ren faire? Been looking everywhere for more info and cannot find anything.
I been lookin' through the Show Low tourist ads fer a few weeks now . Ain't seen nothin'. Bein' their first year I thinks the best show will be what the experienced pay/playtrons bring. Play it by ear an have a good time. ;D
What I meant was how do we know if it's even still on?
If it be an empty field tomorrow morn, I'll be pagin' Max Yasger. We'll make sumthin' happen ;D
Thanks for all who came out to the Medieval Mayhem!
;D Brief recap from Saturday. Left Tucson @5am, beautiful no traffic drive up, arrived @830. The site appears to be an open air nursery run from a private residence. Cross between New Age an Americana decors all around. Small art gallery on the north end 'o the house, snack bar on the east and a few covered ramada tents on the south acre. Pathways was all graveled so's there be NO mud ;D. The other acreage not used this year looked like low rolling moguls covered in short greenage. Was a quiet day, could have handled much more foot traffic than was there. Got ta meet Irregular Joe, chat a while wi' Black Hearted Pearl, meet up wi' the armourer who gots me involved wi' the SCA a million year ago. Was a very laid back affair. Nobody was too busy to talk shop, what if, an remember when. Sang an played music wi' the greyhound lady fer a time. Generally had a good time. We bugged out near closin' time when the thunderstorms closed in. We'll be back next year.
Crikey Show Low got big :o
Does anyone have a final headcount? Sounds like it was really nice. And I would have loved the thunderstorms.
:)
