I am reading 'His Majesty's Dragon'.. Gotta get the rest of the series. It's written by a woman-Naomi Novik-but reads like it's written for men.

Love this series. I am currently starting book three. I do like it because it focuses so much on the dragons and their thoughts/needs/uses and there is no silly romantic subplot or anything. I also like that in a time when women were not really thought of much use militarily it has women in a major role (as certain dragons will only accept women riders).
