Simply put, I would like to meet more of you lovely people!
As it stands, I have a season pass and am currently planning to attend every Saturday. Sundays are only a slight possibility based on how I feel those days due to a rigorous externship program during the week from now until around March 9th. President's Day Monday is out of the question, unfortunately. I know many of you are planning to attend that day. I am not really thinking of a specific meeting place for now since I tend to constantly wander the faire. My personal tradition is to be there by cannon and see Tartanic first thing. After that I tend to wander all day with no real port of call to rest my weary boots.
If you have a regular spot in the faire, let me know and I will attempt to find you. I say attempt because sometimes my compass turns me about or I get distracted by shinys.
You can find me at Tartanic first thing, or just wandering. I will be a pirate all faire in reds and blacks wearing the hat seen in my profile picture. If you see me at a show, I will most likely have a small Vado HD video recorder attached to my hand.

As I mentioned, I will be at Tartanic for their first show and then all over. Red Hat Queen will also be with me.
I wouldn't mind setting up a meeting place somewhere either outside the Faire before it starts or inside the Faire during the day where we can all try to be around the same time. Personally, I prefer inside the Faire since I know not everyone makes it there before cannon and then it gets crazy for a little bit with everyone trying to get in. I know that Marcos regularly hung out in the VIP parking lot before cannon. I don't know about this year though, and I always seemed to miss him last year.

I will be there Sunday the 26th for sure along with Red Hat Queen. Before cannon, you can find me among other Corsairs with Serpent. This will be my bday trip since my bday is on Tuesday the 28th!

I'll be keeping the mayhem to a minimum on the Falconers' Heath
You can of course always find "The French" in the VIP lot before cannon. After that, we pretty move all over with no real home. :) Come up andsay hi! ;D

Comte de Gilbet, which VIP lot? The Royal VIP or the one where the handicap park? Also, are the French dressed like Musketeers? If so, I have already seen you many times through out the Faire, although never stopped to talk.

Brave the weather? Listen Colorado we get as cold as 45 and snow and as hot as 103 with 50% humidity added in with 7000 feet What do you mean brave the weather
^_^ LOL! We had sleet during our visit to Sherwood Forest last month... No problem at all.
There is no such thing a bad Festival weather; just inappropriate garb. ;)
Thus far, that has been my experience, Baron. The visit to Scarby a couple years back on Memorial Day weekend...reached 103 (a different experience in Texas than in Colorado). That time, any garb was inappropriate, but they wouldn't let me undress for the occasion. ::)

Well, I will be out there today, but it will be in the mundanes...alas, I do not have any garb that is appropriate for this weather, but I do need to run some errands at faire like believe it or not dropping off more fabric for another outfit.
Le Comte is way too pretty to play in the rain (read that as all of my garb is way too expensive to chance ruining in in weather like this :P).
I will be out again next Sunday (boss won't let me have Saturday off again...day 3 I will have to miss). I will be out both days for closing weekend.

I will be there this Saturday and then both Saturday and Sunday closing weekend. I guess I shall have to hunt you down then.
The only thing I actually have for protection from this weather is a cloak, which I have used against the snow last year. However, it doesn't have a hood.
So what was the weather today? I know Flagstaff got lots of snow. Seems Toki and I brought our weather south with us, and your weather back north. Good trade I say
rainy cold and muddy...thankfully we decided to leave, got back on the 60 just in time to miss the hail.

However, I got news about my step-mom last night and I'm pretty sure I made myself sick with it. I feel like my intestines are trying to do balloon animals... I may be in normal clothes as opposed to my usual pirate garb. My sister will be a fairy though, lol. Not sure what Red Hat Queen will be doing, but she told me she won't be wearing a rad hat! *gasp*
EDIT: Changes of plans... I got worse during the night so I decided (being the driver) that I can't make it today. We will try to go tomorrow.

I felt so bad wearing jeans today. I felt so...normal! I did try to wear the rest of my piratey things, but it didn't help. I needed the jeans today though to make certain things easier on me. Full costume both days next weekend! My sister had a blast and really enjoyed herself. New pictures are up on my FB and will be up on Photobucket later. I need to pass out now. I'm actually surprised I made the whole day.

Red Hat Queen and I got fried today so we left really early. Finally got my own belt so I don't have to keep using RHQ's. I got a lot this Faire! A whole new outfit (from which I could make several), a flintlock, holster for the flintlock, wood mug, and now the belt. I over spent... With tomorrow being the last day, what ever shall I do with myself on the weekends now? Guess it's back to pillaging and plundering.
Comte de Gilbert: Pleasure to finally meet you in person. Albeit a very brief meeting at the time. Honestly, we both felt a bit awkward for the moment because most of the court was there. We didn't know if you all were about to do something and didn't want to intrude.
Was a pleasure to meet you both as well. We were just having a snack, and holding up in the shade. If I would have know it was awkward for you, I would have drug you up front to meet everyone :P :D seriously though, I was glad tomeet you both. Today will be much cooler, will be in the red. come see uson the green playing bocci after cannon in front of the royal pavillion. Last day! Oh my! I don't know what to do with myself!
Well, I will actually disappear for a while with maybe a rare appearance. If you saw me these past two weekends with a far off look it is because a lot has been on my mind. My step-mom has been battling cancer and recently was told she has 2-6 months left to live. My dad is providing hospice care for her out of his house and needs my help. It will be exhausting and demanding and near 24/7. I don't expect to be on much (here or any other site) and even if I am it would really only be to lurk in the shadows.
Comte de Gilbert: It was my past experience with Faire Court that was clouding my judgement. It was not always a pleasant experience, but guess I should have known better since this Faire has been kinder to me from the very start. I did see you today, but I was eating (excuses, excuses). I had actually just walked up and tagged His Majesty for the pirates and when I sat back down I saw you along with other Court walk up in front of the food court.
Well 2012 ARF is over but it was grand to be back after a 2 year absence. Familiar faces, old friends and new ones made.
A BIG thank you to Amara Deegan for taking me to Faire this year, it was an empowering experience to be back and she and a few others know the real reason why.
It was great to see Crazie Rennie again and meet the lovely Lady Sara. I was nice meeting The Compte de Gilbert as well even if it was just briefly. Putting faces to RF names is wonderful. Looking forward to making it again in 2013. Until then the very best to all of you.
