Post by: groomporter on July 30, 2018, 11:24:00 AM
After 30 Years the Vilification Tennis performers announced they are retiring the act from MNRF after this season. They will still be appearing at other venues such as the Bryant Lake Bowl.

Oh really! I can make a few guesses, but does anyone really know why?

Here was their official statement from Facebook, but it sounds like MAF has been trying to cut pay to many of the performers on top of the other issues going on. Haven't heard how many of the individual Vilten performers, are staying.

QuoteThis year, Vilification Tennis will celebrate our 30th year performing at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival. It will also be our last.

We are proud of the fact we grew from the ranks of street performers at the Festival to become one of the most popular acts at the Faire. But all things must end and we feel it is important for our show to retire when we are still putting out a great product. Our time has come.

Vilification Tennis will continue to be performed at the Bryant-Lake Bowl every month, at CONvergence in July, and possibly at other locations. For those of you who have only seen our show at the festival, we encourage you to seek us out elsewhere.

But before then, we hope you will join us at the Festival this season. We have fifteen more shows and they are going to be great.
