This is it, the one weekend we get to make Scarby this year. Who will get to see?
The Lovely Lady Trinn and I shall attend on Saturday and Sunday this weekend. Hoping to see a ton of familiar faces and meet a lot of friends for the first time.

Al-Nimer & I are hoping to be there all 3 days with kids. However, homework issues may mean we have to do 2 out of the 3 days. We're hoping the possible loss of a faire day will convince the kids to buckle down & get it done!

Lawrence and I will both be there this weekend - all three days. We'll have to load at lesat one flask with rum (he usually brings whiskey for his Highlander brethren).

It is my intention to be in attendance for all three days.
As far as rum goes, you'll have to ask Lady Ann if you have privledges to the Clan McLotofus liquor tub rum. She seems to have laid very firm claim to the Bacardi in there.
WEWT, so excited! ;D I will be there. I am not sure what I am dressing as though. I had a ball dressing as a pirate last weekend though so I might have to pull that card again. I will be there all three days.
So are there any more plans with the Group shot for this weekend? Is it going to be on Saturday? and If I am not mistaken it should be at the Front gate area by the stage at about 10:30?

I do hope we do a group photo at the Meet n'Greet because I don't know exactly how early my parents are planning to set out on Saturday, though I'm planning to gently nudge them along to leave the house by 8:30 to get there by 9:30.
Now the the wife hath returned, we will be making our one and only trek to scarby memorial day weekend! Can't wait to see everyone!!!

Father Jeffrey (Chaplain of the Scottish Brigade) is trying to get all the folks he knows with religious character garb to attend on Sunday so that the group can make an appearance at Scottish Court that day as "The God Squad".
That's all the detail I know until I speak with him again on Saturday next... but it should be good fun.

Oh no no no no no, Don't say the R word. Cameras don't like that word. I'll be there all three days with my crew and camera in hand.
It will be nothing but sunshine all weekend - and if some of that happen so be the the liquid variety then so be it, we'll all have a great time, and may even have to drink a bit more as our ale/rum/loki could get watered down!
I have requested an Imperial Decree for sunshine.........unfortunately it will probably be of the excessively warm variety.

The words "isolated" and "scattered" are definitely comforting. The being there and getting rained on doesn't bother me so much. It's the whole 'getting my small car out of the mud' issue that's more concerning.

Not likely I'm afraid...most likely, if it does rain, the humidity will skyrocket and then it will be hot and muggy. I don't mind going to faire if it's hot, I can deal with that, I just don't like to be there in the rain! I really don't like getting wet and then being wet. :( Try going to the privy when the bottom of your skirt is wet and muddy. :P

Boy, how I miss Scarby. it's been 3 years since my last visit there from NC, and was hoping to make it there this weekend, but plans got changed and once again no Scarby for me.......now I have to wait till me home faire opens in Oct.

Wish we coulda stayed for Memorial day as well but other obligations wouldn't permit.
It was great seeing all of you and meeting new friends as well.
The super 8 is now our permanent place to stay when we head out there for sure, decent rooms and good price. Several friends also stayed there (perhaps next year a hotel renvasion?). And being so close to faire just rocked!
Now... how long until TRF again?

It was good to see you, Teach, and your lovely lady. Looking forward to TRF and camping -- see you Thanksgiving if not before. I know YOU already have them, but we acquired the entire Iris and Rose CD collection shortly after seeing you. We've been corrupted beyond repair! A toast to Iris and Rose!
Hehe, I actually just bought the last of their cds memorial weekend. I can't get enough of them.
For me, they just are what pub music is supposed to be.
And getting to go up and sing verses with them (even breaking in on songs that I'm not supposed to lol) is about the most fun thing for me to do inside faire.
