Clan McLotofus shall meet and celebrate the ongoing survival of it's members and the approach of the soon arriving TRF!
This gathering of the clan will take place on the 27th day of September. (That's next Saturday for those of you that are calendar impaired....Aiacha)
The location has been determined to be the home of Greenman6669 and Blue66669. (Renmail Blue66669 for directions)
Yes, do bring food and libations. People get hungry when there's serious drinking going on...... :o
Do we have an estimated time for the event to take place? I will make it to one of these events eventually. My niece's birthday party is next Saturday so that likely will interfere.
Sorry. We plan on starting around 7:00 P.M.. If necessary, we'll shove the bodies to the curb Sunday, but not before noon.
Afraid we won't be able to make that.
The Lovely Lady Trinn has no weekends offs between now and faire time (so that she can have all the faire weekends off ya know)
*But someone drink my share of the rum for me!*

:-P~~~~~
And sorry, I'll be otherwise preoccupied (previous commitment).
I, however, am not committed (though popular opinion is that I should be) and shall be there!
I will not make it. I will be leaving for Korea that mourning, for 8 days. Will be back for opening weekend of TRF. Will be out Sunday, I have other function to go to on Saturday.
Oh come on you guys!!!! Where is everyone????
*cries*
Couple questions;
1. Need Directions
2. Is it Kid Friendly?
3. What is needed?
((I cannot make any guarantees, but will see what we can do, we will be at TRF site that day setting up camp and such so we will be ready to roll in Friday Night opening weekend and just start the party)).

I can RM you the addy, get yer own directions LOL.
Yes, it is kid friendly. I have two of my own, but they will not be there that evening. Kids room and toys are open season, as well as the Playstation 2 and DVD player.
It's Saturday night, no excuses, bring you and kid and wifey! I think we may be doing some sort of pot luck maybe, but it is, as always, BYOB.
Any suggestions about food options??? A theme maybe? Ugh, but no burgers or dogs PLEEEEZE!!! If you all love me, you will not subject me to burgers and dogs.
Of course we love you Blue! Ok everybody...no burgers or dogs!!! ;D
Pot luck sounds good to me...I'm going to try really hard to talk Sir Trent into going...maybe bribery will work... :-*
Will there be any kids there? Is Guinevere going to bring her kids? Tim doesn't want to bring Dillon if there aren't going to be any other kids there...he will get bored and it won't be any fun for us... ;)
I will have my children there. Daughter is 13, and Son is 14.
I'm sure that Dillon won't get bored. Besides the fact that the kids have a room stocked full of toys, we have a PS2 that he can just knock himself out on.
GRAND THEFT AUTO HERE WE COME!!!

That's what I told him, but now that Dragon said he is bringing his kids, it should be ok.

Could I possibly request that that particular game somehow be "lost" that day? I don't need my 14 year old getting any ideas ;) ((seriously we do not allow them [because of him] to play the really violent games that disrespect cops and/or women))
I'm working on convincing the hubster to come along and we would bring our son as well who is 6. Are they any other kids coming closer to his age? If the family doesn't go (baseball games that day), I will probably still come out solo; if just for a little while.
Has anyone thought about/decided what they will bring for pot luck?
During the hurricane:
5 year old (Brinson): Daddy, will you throw the maltov cocktail and make them all blow up?
Daddy: Yes son, of course I will.
Brinson: And will the cops come and make me dead?
Daddy: No Brinson, Daddy used the cheat code so now the cops won't come after you.
Brinson: But will I get blown up by anyone else?
Daddy: No Brinson, Daddy used the cheat code so now you won't have to go to the hospital.
Brinson: Can I have the jet pack and some grenades? And will you run over those people for me?
Daddy: Yes Brinson.....*contented sigh*
My family is odd...
I'm declaring a Thanksgiving-esque pot luck. I'll be making chicken and dressing, so YAY! Bring green bean casserole, sweet potatoes, rolls, plates, cranberrry sauce, those sorts of things. Mmmmmmm, early turkey(chicken) day...
Cranberry sauce, CHECK!
I can make the cranberry sauce :) ...has anyone seen fresh cranberries in the stores yet? If I can't find cranberries, I can bring a pie. Should it be punkin'?
OOOOOO, pumpkin is grand! If you could bring a pecan as well, you'd be my hero!

so i'll bring 1 pumpkin and 1 pecan
Man you all are making me feel like a bad uncle as I am starting to regret having to celebrate my niece's birthday party and not get to partake in the Mclotofus gathering. ;D
Hey, your niece isn't gonna be partying into the wee hours, just come when you get done!!!

Aight, put me down as a definite more-than-likely-going-to-be-there. I have confirmed the niece's thing might overlap a little bit but I should be able to make it.
Tim and Dillon and I will be there! :)
Yea Pecan Pie!
<-----is lergic to pumpkin
Oh and I might have a surprise guest...(the hubby)
And I'll bring the mashed potatoes!
I hope y'all like LOTS of pecans because I absolutely overload the pie with pecans ;D
You may wanna make, like, 3 pecan pies- 2 for the party, and one as an offering to the Empress LOL

Sorry, I don't do banana pudding...but I can bring the bread! I don't think you want me to bring the green bean casserole cause I think it might be kinda cold and mushy by the time I got it there...
.....so that diet i was gonna start on to lose the 8 pounds now to make up for the 8 pounds i'll gain back during the holidays just went to pot....
Diet schmiet. We don't need no stinking diets. We're RENNIES dangnubbit.. we likes our ladies with a little meat on their bones.. helps keep us warm in our tents on those cold nights ;)
I thought you were eating with us at faire?
THe only thing I know about Heart Healthy is that they are really good pickled or broiled or used as part of the hot dog chili.

The Banana Pudding you're thinking of was (I believe) made by the Lovely Lady Trinn. She has had many requests for that at various events. Sorry, no pudding this time Blue but maybe at another event in the nearish future...
(She should make that into a loki flavor... then I would have even more competition at the challenge!)

my hubby's quote about me...'the girl can eat!!!' ;D
How many pies am I making????
One extra pie should be shipped express mail to me in San Antonio
It's... um... traditional to do that...
Can't tell you how many times I have heard people say "Wow! I sure love that traditional pie being shipped to Teach tradition. We should do that more often!"

Thanks go out to Blue and Greenman for the fun last night at their place. A great time was had by all, and the food was delicious! It was good to see everyone and the singing was very entertaining ;D
What a great gathering...probably the best yet! I can't wait for opening weekend at TRF and singing around the campfire.
I had a great time! Thank you Blue and Greenman for inviting me into your home and thank you to everyone in Clan McLotofus for making me feel so welcome! I can't wait to see you all at faire ;D
Lady Jessica... your loki is a WINNER for sure!
YEEHAW. Oh wait, that should be HUZZAH!!!! That was an AWESOME gathering, WOW.. Thanks to Blue and Ace for opening their home to us all. Zaubon, umm.. next time we may need to TRIPLE that order on the spinach and bacon dip.
The gathering was a blast! It was so good to see everyone again! ;D
Thanks Blue and Greenman for letting us gather in your home! :-*
That was awesome! I'm only sorry I had to leave a bit early, I'm sure there was much more fun to be had. Thank you, Blue and Eric!
Yes, that was a supremely excellent party!! Zaubon, I think next time you need to find the largest bowl from the old Pyrex mixing bowl set to use for the spinach dip. That stuff rocks :)
