Title: Trying to be productive.
Post by: Lady Alecia on August 07, 2012, 04:56:11 PM
Hey y'all,

I have a few days between semesters that I need to fill, and I would like to be creative (mostly productive).  So, what are some of y'alls favorite "small" projects?  I have run out of new recipes and thought I would try some "arts and crafts".   ;D

Let's see, beading snoods, adding trim or beads to a skirt, tooling a belt and re-dying the leather, making some new bloomers..... What crafts have you done in the past?

Well, I crochet every once in a blue moon.  I haven't had much time to work on much since I started clinicals.  I have wanted to begin working on making my own garb, but a little worried about biting off more than I can chew.  I would be extremely thankful for any suggestions.  I honestly hadn't realized how much nursing school has taken over my time.

If you crochet then knitting is another fun one.  I like to use the knifty knitter looms, fast with great results!  EVERYONE got scarf and hat sets for Christmas two years ago.  lol

If you want to try garb start with a basic skirt, maybe some harem style pants.  This is a good pattern
