Greetings everyone!
Opening Bell is just 35 days away! We have a ton of new stuff this year. I hope you all are going to make a trip to see us again. Here is a short list of some of the new stuff.
Ales and Tales. A VIP ticket to your own mini-faire. You get free appetizers, 2 free ales, and a private mini show by some of the best acts at this years faire. This takes place in your own pub that we reserve for 2 shows a day. Ticket price is only 15.00. Get them early as I am sure the tickets will sell out fast. If you know Lazlo from the Minn faire he will be the Master of Ceremonies for this event.
A larger Typsy Gypsy. We have doubled the size of one of the most popular pubs.
A Mud Show. We have built a new stage area for this fun filled act!
The Pizpor Stage. a new stage for some crappy shows.
This is short list as I have limited time tonight. check back later for more updates... Take care
Thank you for the update, Sir Abish. Glad you found your way here! The Ales and Tales sounds great!
Looking forward to my first year there.
ACK! Just realized I haven't paid for camping yet. Where do we send the check and info? And how much were the non-electric sites again?
Large group from MN invading June 27th!
Can't wait!
You can now pay online for camping at riverridgecampgrounds.com A primitive site is 15.00 a night. Thanks and just call if you have any questions.
I am so looking forward to this faire.
Your faire should be a model for others.
Sir Abish know your efforts are appreciated!
ps. Give us hot Scotch Eggs...please?
pss. With sausage gravy? (ok I'm pushing it.)
psss. Ok I'm sucking up.
Will be me wife and I first time. Any scalawags like to drink ale there?
Yay! Faire is almost here, but there's soooooo much to do yet: get out the garb, make new stuff, clean the shop, do some landscaping... the list goes on...
Stop by the forge to see us, though I may not be there as much as last year (I'm contracted for a couple of horse shows that overlap date-wise).
Christel
ps Baron Doune, I'd also like to see scotch eggs sold there, along with spinach calzones and a realy good shepherds pie. ;D
The mn group will be camping June 27/28/20 at River Ridge.
See http://tinyurl.com/5zd2x2
And Skrid you might find a few of us like to tip the cup.
I still think this faire has some of the best pubs I've ever seen.
When I spoke with Sir Abish about our group he said he's got us reserved "around" the one tree in the area. It's closer to the shower area so we may have more neighbors, but we'll (hopefully) have some shade. We'll still bring the canopy again. That worked well last year.

On my way to and from Waupaca I saw several billboards for the faire.
Looks good. Although another drive to/from/through Chippewa Falls may just kill me.
Remind me next time no driving straight from Ladysmith to Menominee. *headdesk*
I cant wait for WIRF, I missed it last year trying not to repeat myself.

Just an update folks.
Just a slight detour for people coming from the South due to a river there that had flooded but hasn't crested over the interstate. They are looking ahead to Thursday night when more rain is to come. Here is the current news, but remember, it is just a slight detour before Madison -
I-94 Westbound near Johnson Creek Closed Indefinitely
Drivers Detoured Because of High Water

WITI-TV, MADISON -- Interstate 94 westbound near Johnson Creek is being closed indefinitely due to water from the Rock River just inches away from the road.
State officials decided to close the westbound lanes as a precaution starting at 7 p.m. Tuesday. The river is not supposed to crest until Friday and more rain is in the forecast.
Only the westbound lanes are affected. The detour will take travelers off the interstate for about nine miles.
Drivers will exit at Highway 26 and return at Lake Mills.
Emergency Operations Center spokesman Mike Goetzman says eastbound lanes are higher and should not be affected by the closure. He says no other interstate lanes have been shut down yet due to the flooding, but a portion of I-94 near Highway 33 around Portage is being monitored.
Now, just a few other notes I just got. The faire is in great shape and depending on any other rain should be a great time. It is suppose to be a wonderful day on Saturday for sure and possibly rain Sun. The grounds is a lot of sand base so it drains better. Other things have been added to help this season as well.
The Pet Costume Contest is the third weekend which is Celtic Weekend. So, bring your pets i their favorite garb and get in the contest.
That is all for now
Opening weekend was fantastic. Weather was only in the mid 70's with a nice breeze, energy was hig and people were even staying till the end now. All the performers were giving it all. There is a lot going on with some new shops as well. The grounds were super, in spite of all the rain throughout the week and flooding in southers Wisconsin. Could not have asked for a better faire weekend. Now, with all the freeways pretty much open, more people should be coming out. Hope to see many of you there. I will have pictures posted soon from opening weekend.
Sir Clisto
Hey everyone,
I just finished posting my pictures from week one of the upper
Wisconsin Renaissance Faire. Thank you Master Thaylann for taking most
of them and letting me use them. If interested, they can be found at

Angelina and I made it out to WIRF yesterday - we had a BLAST! Loved the site, did much shopping, played headgames with people who don't usually see us out of costume! Got to hang out with Zilch and Lollie for quite a while, and in general were quite impressed with everything there.
Definitely recommending this as potential Dreg infestation area... ;D

We have already discussed it. Just think you can take over a whole 'nother state! Carrots taste yummy with Leinie's or milk. ;)
Hope to see many of you this weekend. Stop and say Hi.
Hey John,
I saw the pic with you and Matt, is he back on cast? I got an email from him the other day that he was back after his Guard training.
With fuel prices, we won't be up this year (though I love playing King Edward!)
Hey Lloyd,
Glad to hear from you my friend. Yes, Matt is back as Lord Gower, having come back from his training or (the battle of Nevilles Cross). We are all in our places in court and he and I are for the same purposes but different means working together. Would be fantastic to see you there but i understand on the gas thing. many we have talked to are all car pooling. But it is cheaper up there too. The place has gotten bigger and i am now a shareholder. I love it... So, what are you up to? Taking it easy like you said or diging in? Send me your number via e-mail and i will call you. Be well.
John
Ready or not...
Here we come!! :-*
Ok all,
Just an FYI on this weekend.
A good friend of mine who goes around doing King Arthur with his
sidekick Patsy from Monty Python said he is planning on atending the
faire this weekend. He has all the garb from the movie and they have
coconuts. They also know all the lines and do this at some different
faires. So, I am hoping Alan comes and has bit of fun with everyone in
the doon. If you love Monty Python, you will love this. "Fingers
crossed"
