I seriously doubt that anyone would recall one of my first posts ever as being in this thread. When I came across this forum I was looking for myself some boots and could not find ANYTHING I liked or could afford at the time (divorce and hurricane Rita had kicked my financial butt). I have unusual sized feet and it is always difficult to find shoes to fit and has been impossible to find boots for faire.
Now... finally... almost 3 years later I found them

They are exactly what I have been looking for, compliments either pirate or scottish garb.

Actually, I think I remember recommending a pair of plain black Justin Ropers as a budget alternative. These are obviously the better choice. :) I really want a pair of the curly toed ones that I saw last season.

Awesome boots, Teach! I love my Sandlars, but yours look way cooler. Regarding the rum - how about a tube-shaped flask tucked into the laces? Not a lot of rum, but still...
