Title: Mid-Winter Festival
Post by: Richard de Graeme on December 08, 2008, 12:15:26 PM
Who would be attending such an event? Shrouds of cloaking mists serving as protector and defender of this Fortress of Renitude.

Of all the years working at Bristol, I never got out to the Winter fest gatherings. Not even to Molly's place for a mid-winter Molly & Tinker fix.

Although your journey may be long, the welcome would be justifiably strong!

Yes, there is a Mid-Winter Feast.

It's on Saturday Jan 28, 2012.  From 5:00 PM to 11:30 PM.

Is the Mid-Winter Feast an adult event, or family friendly? I looked through the photos and info but wasn't sure. Our daughter is almost 15 and would likely be interested to attend with my husband and I, if she were allowed.

Hi Lady Soulstice,

I am not sure I have never attended one.

Maybe someone who has can add their feedback.

There is also a Facebook page for Midwinter Feast.

I am never able to make it, since it is 3 hours each way from our house, and I never know what the weather will be.  Plus Steve works on a Saturday night, so I'd have to go by myself.

Vartha, don't know if you know this, you probably do, but Molly & The Tinker are no more.

Tinker does solo acts, mostly Scottish/Celtic, and he is also in a trio called Trinkets that play at some faires.

In case anyone else wonders, we did get confirmation today on Facebook that the Mid-Winter Feast is all ages. My husband is itchy to wear his new Son of Sandlar boots. He bought them on the last day and didn't get much time to enjoy them last season, LOL. So chances are about 50/50 right now that we will attend. I'm hopeful!
