Title: Mystery Flags
Post by: Sir William Marcus on November 23, 2009, 09:11:21 AM
I used to think I was fairly decent at identifying flags of the world although earlier this Fall while attending faire we stumbled upon these two flags that stumped us all.

They appear to be mass produced due to their construction and all of us were clueless as to their origins. Even the merchants who claimed ownership to them had no idea of their background or historical meaning. (http://i42.tinypic.com/24c5ovm.jpg)

By chance, were hoping someone here will recognize them and can give us some insight on the mystery of these two flags?  (http://i43.tinypic.com/muv9fs.jpg) Anyone??

I admit this one (above) looks somewhat familiar although I' m clueless

Thank you! Your absolutely correct cyberrennie! I must confess that I'm somewhat ashamed as I should of easily recognized it being from Irish decent. I guess my little old noggin just couldn't make that connection and blame my blindness on the repetitive partying I endured during the 80's  ;) :P

Below is even a picture I took prior at our Irish Fest and you can even see it displayed on the Province flag..
