Found yesterday in my black leather "lab" coat: seashells from the beach at Cairns, Australia and a New Zealand coin. Lots of good memories - from 3 1/2 years ago.
What forgotten treasures have you discovered in a pocket?
I found $42 in mine. I was happy ;D
Tokens from an arcade in Boulder Colorado that no longer exists... guitar picks from concerts by people who are now far more famous (Halestorm)... ticket stubs to the first train trip my daughter and I took together... pecans from the tree in the backyard of my grandparents house, where they no longer live...
... and a $5 bill that was slipped into my pocket by a blind man I met in Las Cruces, NM, while I was hitchhiking across the country, so very long ago... amazing story, and an amazing man...
Usually I find dog treats and napkins from Starbucks. :)
The temp took a very nasty dip last night so this morning I brought out my heavy winter coat. Went to go get the paper, stuck my hands in my pockets, and what do I find?....Nasty virus infested Kleenex's from last year!
I grabed my gortex field jacket and was wearing it the other day and found, three blank 556 rounds and a smoke grenade ring and a lot of mre TP, in the cargo pocket. They been in there some time!
I tend to not keep much in my coat pocket - however, you can always find a Bounce dryer sheet in there. I get shocked by pretty much everything during the winter, and it helps lessen it.
Needed a sweater at my dad's, and he still had a few of mom's things after she passed...put it on and found a kleenex and a chapstick...two things she always had with her...made me a lil misty it did.
Cough drops, the button that came off my coat last winter, and a few small stones. (I tend to pick up a stone every time I go walking. Lol!)
Dog food. Lottsa dog food. The woodpeckers steal it out of the dish and pack it into clothes hanging on the line.
I've found a five in one pocket once and i've always got receites from the store or getting gas i discovered a pack of toasty toes in my heavy jacket the other day i left them there they may come in handy Saturday
Uh.....I ain't tellin' what I found.... ::)

I thought I was the only odd sort that did that! I always pick up one piece of Taconite from along the RR-tracks when I go for a walk at lunch. I place it in a pile on my desk as a visable reminder to get off my butt at break! Eventually I'll smelt it down into steal! ;D
Kleenex, grocery lists, crayons and other little treasures from my son, hay from the barn, carrots for the horses, dog bones, granola bars, to do lists, and occassionally some loose change, or a few dollar bills. Still waiting to find a winning lottery ticket or a hundred dollar bill ! ;D
lip stuff, change, starbucks receipts, gloves, and old price tags from work.
chapstick, tissues and money- a $10 was the biggest I've found.
I've also found acorns and rocks that Ive picked up along the way.
I live in south Florida so I rarely get to wear winter coats unless I am visiting somewhere and I like to take walks too.
LOL...What a funny topic. I'll play/
I'm one of those neat and tidy types that empties their pockets of treasures and such when I come back from excursions. I too collect rocks, leaves, feathers, seashells..whatever catches my eye, and then it gets dumped into the cup holder in my car so I can play with it at stop lights. Eventually the found things make their way home.
I *did* once find a long lost credit card wrapped in three $20 bills a few years back. I guess I'd run put quickly to the store without my wallet..just what was needed. As I never do that, and can't say now why I DID, I forgot it was even in there when I returned. Tore the place apart looking for it and still did not recall. Went through magazines...purses... emptied the desk, even went through jackets and somehow missed it. The place looked like It had been robbed. After trashing the place I ended up having to cancel the card. Then a year later...there it was.
Since I'm in the mood to incriminate myself....
A pink sharpie, 2 tubes of lipstick (same shade), one container of gloss, a hair tie, cell phone, eyeliner, 2.25 in quarters, my faire pass, and a condom.
It was an interesting weekend, and I forgot that I had stuffed all that crap there...
