Title: Fabric stores
Post by: Tukaram on December 20, 2009, 10:02:31 PM
Does anyone know of any fabulous fabric stores in Dallas?  I hear there are some very good ones along Harry Hines but I don't know any names (I do know where a few sweatshops are over there but that's different).

My daughter and I need to start sewing soon and Jo Anne's just doesn't quite there for some of the fabric needs.

I know of the fabrics stores you speak of.  From the corner of Harry Hines and Walnut. One block south (pass the cemetery) is Perth ST. On the corner of Perth and Harry Hines is a fabric store. They have very nice fabrics. There are I think four more fabric stores on Perth.
Then 3 blocks south from Perth, there's Jaden on Brenner Dr but along the way to Brenner are several fabric store. I've been to them but sorry I can't remember their names. All these stores have great stuff. There may be more now along Harry Hines. One thing for sure you'll have to start out there early to try and visit as many of them as you can. Most of the stores close at 5pm and are not open on Sundays.

I hope this helped you some.

Best Fabric is located at the corner of Perth and Harry Hines. Their warehouse is huge and they have prices you cant believe.
