Was just curious how many out of towners we will be looking to receive over presidents day weekend? are any going to need rides from the airport places to stay etc?
The Baroness and I have already booked airline, rental car and motel reservations. So, barring a MAJOR catastrophe, we will be there.
Thank you VERY much for asking, M'Lord.
We too, shall attend. We have a room booked and are working on flight.
Gonna be in the area for 10 days or so. Should be there for opening and Presidents day weekend.
That would probably be a no go for us. :( Being so close to the wedding, trying to save a little money.....

Yep... *pout* we're not going to make it this year.... :'(
I so wish we could!!
Alas, Capt. Bacardi and Muffin! The Baroness and I were looking forward to meeting you. But then, we're tentatively planning a trip to Minnesota this year, so perhaps then.
Gauwyn, will you and Adilay be accompanied by Squire Alex on this adventure?
Wow!
Already we have folk planning to make the journey. It will be wonderful to see new faces and old friends for the new season.
I cannot wait!!

Yes, the young squire will accompany us.
"Yes, the young squire will accompany us."
Splendid!
be sure to find us in the vip parking lot outside the front gate saturday morning for breakfast. Also the is a strong likelyhood well be gathering at Churchills pub on Friday night for drinks and dinner...everyone is welcome
You are most gracious, M'Lord!
My folks and I won't be able to make it down this year until mid-March near the end of the run. Unless something major happens and changes our plans, I would much prefer to come President's Day weekend but it doesn't look too hopeful at the moment.
Sigh! The Baroness and I will keep our fingers crossed for you.
Brandi says we will be going, but we'll see if it happens.

We will be lodging in Apache Junction (correct Baron?). Where is Churchills located?
"We will be lodging in Apache Junction (correct Baron?). Where is Churchills located?"
Aye, our lodging is in AJ. I've no idea where Churchills is located, but, if needs be, we can find out!
It is located in Chandler:
2050 N. Alma School Rd Suite #8 • Chandler, AZ 85224 • (NW Corner of Alma School & Warner)
A great place and fun people, I do miss it so.
Ok I was a smart girl and put in for President's Day Weekend off of work at the beginning of December . . . so I will be there! ;D
Huzzah! It's beginning to sound as if we will need to organize a RF Rendezvous sometime during the weekend.
the only requirement for a meet is that it be at a pub :D

And I was under the impression that fairies were good at that sort of thing.
Calling Prof. Juan Latino de Sessa and Ana Francesca de Carlobal - you need to be at Faire on President's Weekend !! It's a great way to beat frostbite !! :)
Well said, well said indeed, Gauwyn!
Baron - did you know - It is now confirmed that the Professor and his entourage will be in attendance - Huzzah to that!!
Wow!
Nice to see so many people coming to our faire!

Yes, I learned the happy news just a couple of days ago. Huzzah, indeed!
it will be most welcome to meet you all!!
Baron & Sir Gauwyn....
You are both most kind in your expressions of excitement over our decision to partake in the merriment of Arizonashire (sorry Apache Junctionshire just doesn't sound right). What does one call the lovely shire in Arizona anyhow? Snow falls again today, the sun has hidden its glorious face and we have only 16 days of anticipation left till we shall meet again. HUZZAH!!
We have had snow and ice on the ground for a couple months. Today's high barely made double digits. We cannot wait either, both to see everyone and second to see what warmth is like :P
It looks like we will be making the trip over from Southern California to the Faire for the Valentine's weekend. I am so looking forward to it...
We made the same trip last year and had an absolute wonderful time. This will make 3 years in a row that we have been able to visit.
Oh Boy!
I can taste the crossiant and cheese right now!
Come on Sat!

It is now just after noon and 19 degrees at Richthofen Manor, and I have just finished clearing 4" of new snow off the driveway. Forecast for Fairhaven for this coming weekend is partly cloudy, high 60's to mid-70's. To say that the Baroness and I are looking forward to being there this weekend would be something of an understatement!

Makes me glad we are here!

You should give the frozen tundra a shot were we are - we too, are looking forward to some warmth and lack of snow (we are currently due for 8-10" tonight again, but at least the temps are in the 20's)
grew up in the Detroit area, can only say "thanks...um no" It's tough shoveling the sunshine all winter long...sure we pay for it by driving convection ovens all summer long, but I prefer it that way

Well as I expected, Brandi and I of course will not be able to make it for Presidents day weekend. She says probably later in the event. Perhaps it would make for a nice birthday present? I'm keeping my fingers, toes and all I can crossed that something doesn't ruin our chances of going this year. If so, I will become severely vexed to say the least. If we do make it though, I am hoping to bring the head event planner from our local ren fest we had and show her what a REAL ren fest is all about. I ask you to hope and pray with me that we make it and this doesn't end up as yet another false promise.
I just wanted to post after having a great day at the faire on Saturday. We ended up having my parents and our grand-daughter with us for the faire. Had a great time, but was unable to much of meeting and greeting outside of the several performers and vendors that we have known for years. Our troop had a wonderful time, and the little one had an absolute blast and she is now totally in love with the fair at the tender age of 2. She actually did not want to leave and put up a little protest as we left for the day. The whole trip over from San Diego, she talked constantly about meeting the fairies... and having Twig right at the enterance just made the trip for her.
We will definetly have this on our calendar for next year, and I can't wait till our faires start up here in California. :)
