Of the featured performers last year.... which did you like the most. I know it's a tough one because all of these were spectacular, but who did you really enjoy the most?

Damn I could not have narrowed it down to the list you did. Way too many acts that I enjoy equally.
Hey Nunnie Nunnie. Iris and Rose. Motley Players. Das German Brothers as well as those listed.

I left off MPIII and Hey Nunny.... German Bros.... acts like that and just listed what was considered "Featured Performers".
Even that was tough.... I'm not shy... here's my 2 cents.

MOTLEY PLAYERS III: One of my favorite for personal reasons. It was one of the first acts we ever saw on our first trip to a faire. I absolutely love improve comedy and got to meet these guys a few years back. I now stalk...I mean follow them to venues outside of faire.

WINE AND ALCHEMY: I meet some great people watching them...including some members of the group. Their music was incredible...I bought 2 CD's and had to pry my daughters away from there....they couldn't get their eyes off Mark.

GERMAN RAP BROTHERS: Very funny and entertaining show. They are funny just walking around in the faire....great energy.

CAST IN BRONZE: I loved this show.. huge talent...also bought a CD.

DON JUAN Y MIGUEL: I hope they return but I seem to remember they said last year was the last one for them.  *sad face*

THE ROGUES: I'm Scottish.... so I'm certainly a bit partial to them.

THE JOUST: Honestly.... we have seen this so many times....at faires and we have gone to Medieval Times so many times for my daughters birthday, we don't see this one too much. It is conveniently located near Cat and the Fiddle pub though. I seriously appreciate what these guys and gals go through to perform though. They have the hottest area of the faire and it's one of the more physical shows.

ZILCH THE STORY TELLER  Also conveniently located near the food court....very funny show.

For the acts I didn't mention, nothing personal...I've yet to see anything at faire I didn't like. I'd also like to take this opportunity to remind everyone to tip the performers something. We budget tips in our daily expenses and sometimes even drop off a pint of a cold beverage for some. These people work really hard so we can be entertained.

Really?  I didn't see them as much last year as in years past, but I do not recall them saying that... I know several sad people if that is true  :(

Don't quote me on that..... but I'm 90% sure they said that.

I sent a message to Douglas to find out for sure.

I said 'The Rogues' but I know my kids would have said 'Doktor Kaboom'.  One of our favorite activities after the chess match was walking over to see his show.  I'd sit at the FoF area with a plate of fish & chips while the kids sat in the audience.  By the end of the season I think I had his 3:30 show memorized!

Wine & Alchemy helped introduce me to 2 people I now consider friends (Chris & AnnMarie).  Also great dance music.

Trust me when I say that Don Juan & Miguel did NOT say that 2009 was their last year, as one of my dearest friends did not miss a single DJM show all season, and there would have been HUGE drama over a comment like that.
2009 DID mark their 25th anniversary at Scarborough.

I spoke with Doug and he said that they are coming back this season.
What I heard was "This will be our last show" and what I did not hear after the pause from the audience was "............ for today".
Probably because when he said the first part, I turned to my wife and said "What the crap? Did he just say this was going to be their last show?" Her reply..."Shhhhh! I can't hear"

This was a tough one Merlin! I almost didn't vote because the choices were hard to decide between.  But, when we take new folks we always make sure they see Don Juan & Miguel, Doktor Kaboom, Hey Nunnie Nunnie (if Sherry had a vote they would be her #1), Cast in Bronze and especially if they have kids - The Royal Falconer. But we try to always catch Iris and Rose at least once per weekend (especially if we don't have kids with us), the Joust and Fool Hearty (if we do), Mikael the Mime, Daniel the duke of danger........well never mind, we love 'em all! We took my son and his fiance (Tara) opening weekend, and my daughter (Amy) and her family third weekend and both ended up on stage with Don Juan & Miguel! Of course I know the general area that they pick their vict...ladies from and sit there. Faire is just a wonderful, fantastic and magical escape and all of the entertainment, the cast, the food and all of the fairemily friends make it an incredible experience. Both my son, my daughter and some friends of ours are getting season tickets this year after having attended for the first time last season. Does this mean I'm responsible for their new addiction...yep, someone did it to me!~

It was our first visit last year and we liked all the shows (we had seen some of the performers before).  We are planning on coming back this year, just trying to get a flight scheduled  8).

Wine & Alchemy was my favorite, though I had no issue voting for one of the acts above.

Has anyone seen the Lost Princess, the movie that Don Juan and Miguel did?  Picked it up in Arizona and watching it now.

I have a copy and I've shown it to friends to who are always asking why I spend so much time at faire.

Hey, I'm in that movie!

I'm one of the fighters/dancers in the rust colored jerkin and black turban.

My wife Susan Von Rudolph choreographed the dance.

Also, I'm King Henry VIII at the end.
