Title: Love
Post by: SirBlackFox on January 28, 2010, 01:41:53 AM
I really don't mean to suck up. . .but I LOVE this board. . . . talk about valued info from a variety of sources. . .folks you agree with. . .folks you don't. . . it's amazing what thought, display, work, and love is put into our hobby as "Renaissance Enthusiasts" (that, I figure is the least-offensive term). . . .as a writer, photographer, artist, and publisher. . . you folks make my life easy.

I love you all.

Well that's just about the sweetest thing I've heard around here in a long time.  :) I agee. RF.com is a pretty special place, even when we go a bit looney now and again.  :D

I love it too.  It's the first place I come when I log on ... I stay here the longest ... and I miss it the most when I don't have internet.
It is like faire in my lap(top), minus the turkey leg.

I find that the turkey grease makes the touch pad too slippery...  ::)

I have to agree. I absolutely LOVE this place! And even though I've only had the honor and privilege of meeting a handful of the people on here...I absolutely adore everyone here!

Thank you to everyone for making this a wonderful place to spend way too many hours!! hehehe

I too love this place and  the people on here. They are like my second  family. I feel honored to be a  part  of a great big family who is there for one another. We can laugh together, play together, sing together, drink together during the good times, and cry, hug, and  console  each other during the hard times.  Huzzah to everyone on here. :)

And not only do we (I) love this website, and the fine folk met through our mutual fondness of John & DB's creations - R/F.com has led to a true renaissance of many other things once loved but set aside.  Re-born is my love of sewing and bead crafts for faire favors.
Love for exploration finds satisfaction travelling to new faires not so very far afield.
Love for one's fellow man is revitalized in meeting the unending variety of renthusiests.
Love for my mate enters new dimensions as he embraces this addiction in ways I never would have.
This could go on & on, but you get the idea...

Oh, don't worry Rapier, you were on my list of loonies when I thought up that post.  ;D

I of course an not on the list because:

1) I happen to be perfectly normal.

2) I'd have to be a bit looney to be on my own list.

3) see # 5.... ;)

I appreciate the compliment, but these lips are spoken for. Besides, this is suppoedly a PG forum and I'd hate to create a 'situation'.

I feel like I've got a lot of new friends from being out here. I've become empathetic to posters' joys and pains.

How we managed before the internet and this Forum;

it could take months or years before you ran across the person who had the solution to your garb problem.
Ditto for who to buy or not buy from, where all the faires were. Ren Magazine was a big help and fun to read. But here we get new information about faire on a daily basis.
I love it.
