I'm already twitching for the opening cannon on the 10th. We have about 12 friends coming that day. It is ASL day and a couple of them are acting as interpetors. ;D

I so wish I could make it with my lil boy since he mainly uses ASL. I'm so envious right now.
It is pretty cool. They have interpreturs for all the shows. And I "think" she said they are going to have them on call for vendors to have use of for buisness. To me it is a great way to spread the Faire bug and provide for a great social oppertunity.
Maybe next year we can make it to the ASL weekend. I know it would be wonderful not to have to take my boy to faire and have to translate for him. Even if it is only one weekend.
I think they only do it for that Saturday, but I could be wrong. :(

I just finished washing and hanging my new cotton skirts to dry, since I'll have all my garb loaned out for our home Faire this weekend, with 4 of us taking turns wearing everything I own... LOL But I do get to break in 3 garb virgins and test run all my new pieces in one weekend!!! :D

I'm gonna say it's just ONE LONG DAY until opening day! We've garb scattered all over the house, polished and conditioned the boots, tested the bodice lace, cleaned the mugs, checked and double-checked the "accessory tote", and shall continue preparations for the next 7,9,6 or 1 whatever days are left. If time doesn't move faster, I'll be standing at the gate on Wednesday chanting "open, open, open...."
I'm so pumped for opening weekend! This will be my first time going and it's conveniently the day after my birthday. :)

It was just weird being there "naked". I had to keep looking at people's faces and imagineing them in certain garb to make sure they were the right people. It was nice finally seeing "family" again. ;D Not to mention new friends.

Gorgeaous day for opening. But for any Scarby folks...your season pass process SUX! First no signs saying we should go to the soveneir stand. Then to make season pass holders go thru the same ritual as last year wirhout paying heed to complaints is short sighted to say the least. PLEASE clean this up.
I had an extremely good day today at Scarby. Saw plenty of people but never thought once to stop any one and say Hi. Oh well, hopefully next time I'll remember. As well as remembering to make the meet and greet. Although I must say, I did meet Blue this morning.
