Hello!
Our household will be venturing north from Cincinnati to attend your faire. We have heard nothing but good things about it from our roommate Selyna and our friend Wulf. We look forward to meeting other R/F members!
We will most likely be carrying our pirate crew flag for the Bloody Compass as well, as well as our puppy.
Lady Lissame Rhosyn and Gregory Thomas
Most excellent.
Always a pleasure to meet new people.
This area tends to be a bit slow during the off season.
But as the faire gets closer, things will liven up considerably.
Lady Lissame, you're in for a real treat! Our faire is super friendly, the site is beautiful (lots of trees), and our cast rocks! We have a large cast this year, and they're very interactive, so come prepared to play! :) There are several R/F members who are regulars, look for the pins. Best way to find any of us at any given time is at the two main pubs, the Stumbull Inn or the Drift Inn. Looking forward to meeting you!

Hmmmmph I know the feeling.
I'll light some incense and pour a couple of ales so the faire scent will grow stronger.
If I could do that in my
prison cubicle, then work would be somewhat fun.
Anyway....
Is it July yet!?
Athena... can I come visit your Faire?!? Pleeeeaaaasssse?!?!?!? I miss you! If I sold just about everything I own, I just might have enough for gas money... and we could sleep in the van... and... and... maybe I could do some horse trading for tickets! Ok, so maybe not actual horses... :P :D
Does anyone know when they might post the themed weekends? We are looking to attend Pirates Weekend but are trying to find when that weekend is!
MOTHERS DAY SALE!!!!!!! $5 off season passes OR 2 for 1 Daily Passes.

Yes yes...I am back after finally thawing out.
Spring is here and that means the Faire jones is in full effect. Counting down, saving every penny, poliching the boots and swords, All in prep for opening weekend.
Can't wait to see everyone, share an ale or three and catch up.
(Waves wildly back to Athena!!!)
Tries to hold on to Capt. Morgan, but those immortals are quick when they want to be.
Oh Sweetie, you know I'd slow down for you! ;)
As it is, I'm so buried in work, I won't be able to manage any momentum to break free from this place until the end of June...but then, look what I have to look forward too!!! ;D
Counting the days, Luv....
I had the pleasure of visiting this faire in 2008, and it was wonderful!!! I met several of the regular RF'ers there, and had a great time. We will be driving down again from Ontario on the 24-25 weekend. Can't wait!
Greetings all,
I was at the shire this morn, to get my season pass. Everythig is looking so fine!!!!! Here's a tip, the GLMF runs a feast on saturday, there is a 2 for 1 special. It is well worth the cost. I have gone the past 2 years. There are also Father's day special on regular tickets too.
Untill opening weekend I bid you all thee well,
Sir Michael of mentor
I may be able to visit your shire again this year... August 7th & 8th I will be in town showing 1 or 2 of my Italian Greyhounds in Canfield. Since it's a mere hour away and I'm usually done early in the morn... and your lovely shire welcomes 4 legged family members complete with water courtesies from the King himself... maybe a day or two on that weekend!
I keep saying I should show in garb! LOL!!!
would be so wonderful to see you again m'lady
to all a good day, me Belle and me just want'd to say that we had the pleasure of meet'n and fest'n with thy home'ee, Higgins and Lady Higgins, last weekend. GLMF has raised some of the best rennies. they were just fabulous to be around like the rest of thee all.
our Captain, Oh our Captain Morgan, even though thy post was not read until after last weekend, (left Friday afternoon to KYHRF), we's did as thee ask'd, as always, thy desire is our quest. we's wish we's could say at this point that we's be visit'n this season, but once through, (thou it sad'ns us), KYHRF, we's will be decide'n on our next journey. be well our Captain Morgan, may good fortune surround thee.
we serve YOU! :-*
may all be well,
have a great season,
i be the Old Tinker and his Belle...
Hubby and I will be there for the 7 -24/25 weekend, traveling in from Ft Wayne! Our home faire is MRF, this will be our first visit to GLMF. We were planning on being there the last TWO years, but life events sometimes get in the way. This year, we are going to make it, and would love to know the "can't miss" shows, and the gathering hot spots. We are planning on Owain Phyfe, he is our favorite performer, and Silent Lion, what else?????
At this point, not really sure.
Will know better after the first weekend is under our belts.
I can say, that the Combat Chess is usually very good, though in full sun in the middle of the afternoon, so it can be very hot and crowded.
Seems you enjoy musical entertainment, so I must mention Circa Paleo

Ah, those elusive majors! I loved showing at Canfield and just going there to meet up with my little guy's breeder. I am pretty sure we won't be there the weekend you will, wish we could. Would love to see your doggies! Oh, and you as well. :)
Ah yes... elusive indeed. Sat made majors, Sun does if we go Best of Breed. Hopefully I'll finish him Sat, however either way I've decided I am finally going to do it... on Sunday show my Italian Greyhound in GARB!!! ;D
Would be nice to see you too Countess Westmorland, hopefully your plans will change & allow you to attend.
Less than a week to go and we will be there with the Mi invasion ( lifts a glass and tries not to spill any while waving madly to our GLMF friends)
We just returned from our GLMF visit, the first in years, and wish it was closer (almost 5 hours away.) What a charming faire, and you have the friendliest vendors, all so eager to be helpful without being pushy at all. Saturday was a very warm day, and a watery Sunday to start out, but we still had a wonderful time.
Lady Deborah, I think "very warm" is an understatement! It was downright scorching but we had a good time as well. I am happy you enjoyed our little faire and hope you visit again soon.
(waving vigorously while sloshing my mug ) Huzzah! We can't wait to see our MIRF friends. It has been to long since we have seen one another.

Our household will be making the trip up to GLMF this weekend for the Pirates' Invasion as well. Not the entire crew unfortunately, only about five. Two of us were there last year, and three are all GLMF virgins lol... they're looking forward to seeing your faire for the first time :)
Our group is down to 4 now as one cannot make it. Look forward to seeing everyone!
We would like to thank all the GLMF patrons for the great time we had over the weekend.

Anyone see some rats surrying about last weekend? ;)
Alas....being MOM trumps being WENCH.....and so I must stay home this weekend...its important for me to be here. At least I got two visits in this year.
So no GLMF Closing Weekend for me....I will miss you all....and hopefully it will not be GLMF 2011 before I see you all again!
Love and light....xo
A sincere thank you to all who visited this year! I have had the pleasure of meeting several of you and I am sure (to my chagrin) that I missed many more. I am of the belief that everyone impacts the lives of others in some way and it is not only my faith in the Ren Faire community but by your actions and willingness to interact, that prove it is the people that make this so very worthwhile. May our paths cross again and the gods be with you.

Well said, shall see you at MiRF
You can bet on it! We can not wait for Labor Day weekend. Plans have already been made for ourselves and a number of GLMF'ers as well.
Labor Day weekend is the best time to visit, all of MiRF will be your most gracious hosts that weekend.
