Title: My daughter...
Post by: Lady Kett on March 25, 2010, 12:57:48 PM
You know, I rarely post here because it usually brings tears to my eyes a lot of times. I often read though.

Today I find myself in some need of some outside thoughts and prayers.

Our daughter was admitted last night to a local hospital with an attempted suicide by prescription medication. I've been awake now for 48 hours and know my cognitive skills are at about their lowest, but any prayers, thoughts or warm fuzzies that can be sent this way would be most, mot, MOST appreciated as we try to work our way through this.

Much love in return,
Melissa

I am so sorry that your daughter is suffering enough to make this attempt, and that you are unable to fix things for her like when she was little.  Life often hands us things that we are unprepared for, but love can see us through one way or another.  I'll pray for you to find the strength to work through this with her, and for her to find the will and desire to understand and change the patterns in her life that have led her to this point.  Sending love and light energy to all of you... and as many hugs as are needed.

Many thanks to all of you for your prayers and thoughts.

Our daughter is doing well, and I think she will make her way through these troubled times and become all the stronger for it.

At one point I had told her, "I would gladly do battle with dragons for you, but I can't see these dragons. You need more help than I can give you, and quite frankly I hate that."

Today we learned what the dragon was, and while it's a mean one, I sure we'll be able to battle it together.

Here is my thought for the day, which we learned together:

If I have the stuff inside me to make a cocoon, then I have the stuff to make butterflies too.

Many thanks and much love,
Melissa

I'm so glad to hear that things are starting to look up for your daughter now Melissa. Please let her know that she is still in my thoughts and prayers and that I am very proud of her for fighting her way through a very difficult situation.

Hugs and love to both you and your daughter lass.

Butterflies make the world a more beautiful place... and so do you and your daughter.  Many bright blessings upon you and your family, Melissa, and a wish for your daughter to find her way back to you, and to joy...
