Title: Found what faerie I'd be
Post by: dfloyd888 on March 30, 2010, 01:30:18 AM
When helping someone with a computer problem a couple weeks ago, and getting them set up with a system to copy their documents to a safe place (i.e. Retrospect to a hard disk, as well as a subscription to Mozy), I was reminding them that there is no such thing as a backup fairy.

Which gave me an idea.  I can visualize keeping my dark elf look, but wearing some wings with something like this (http://ezuploads.com/649/11649/62.JPG?w=2048&h=1536) placed in a subtle form somehow.  Add to this a stuffed penguin on a belt, a small pail (a bit bucket), some type of dagger or club with the text "ye olde LART" on the hilt, and perhaps a necklace looking like this http://www.tw.rhino3d.com/gallery/render/images/Sgi_Logo.jpg (http://www.tw.rhino3d.com/gallery/render/images/Sgi_Logo.jpg) and I'd be set.

Nothing like combining geekism and high fantasy.

I am going to see if I can get one of these in large quantities with a discount:

The coin type seem the most period, as well as fit the backup faerie persona.
